The best restaurants in Roscommon

04/08/2025: Been on the so just after a snake and a drink, so ordered 3 plates of chips and 3 pints, we got 3 of the smallest baskets of chips ever, just 12 at 37p each chip don't even got a potato each, we had to ask for plates the service is about the worst I've seen what was a great pub has gone to pot

01/08/2025: Food and staff were amazing, pints were great and really good value

12/07/2025: Visited twice. First time had a great flat white and friendly service. Second time the coffee was very average and service rather cold and impersonal with zero interaction from the servers. Hopefully the first experience can become the norm

05/05/2025: Had dinner here the other day, while the sun was out. The views are particularly astounding in any weather, but with the sun out in all its glory it's fantastic. There's even a boat moared up, also waiting to go in to the restaurant. Then whilst my friend + I we're having our dinner, another bigger boat pulled in.

05/10/2024: this goes to show how personal taste is, I saw one of the few bad reviews complaining that the polled pork wrap was tasteless, when I absolutely loved the flav or explosion it provided imho. it wasn't too salty, but instead had a lof of juicier flavor component blended together so well, that I struggle to name them. it was also a very good sized dish and came with 3 salads all of which were good, and I wish I could ask for the kale quinoa salad recipe (I am usually not a fan of Q or uncooked K but OMG soo good and light). yes I understand that it is a to go place and thus the cutlery is wooden, I honestly wish it would have been wooden chopsticks which would have made eating easier. I LOVED it . If I lived in the athlone region we would be regulars.

04/10/2024: If you traverse the country and need a food break, or just are lucky enough to live in the area, this place is AMAZING. yes it is nestled into a very utilitarian space but it has roofed outdoor possibilities in addition to the few cozy seats and a good restroom. But the FOOD..the food is just amazing. I had a wrap with 3 salads. And in addition to them being sooo good (but yes quite spicy) I can tell they are designed to hold up the "leftover" time periods of take out, which is rare in salads..also..a kale salad with quinoa that tasted good and LIGHT?? Amazing. If I lived in Arhlone this place would be at the top of my regular rotation for take out. Soo good. Thank you for feeding ne so well.

07/08/2025: Food is so poor, nothing like the photos on the screens of menus Ordered a double bacon burger meal, got a chicken meal, told waiter that he had brought me the wrong meal, charged me extra as well, he then exchanged it for a burger meal and still no bacon and to my horror, a bite size was gone out of the meat (wafer thin), so I went up to the counter very disappointed at this stage and a woman give me a 3 burger bun, I sat down and seen I had still no bacon, I ate it only as I was starving of hunger but didn't feel great afterwards, quality isn't here due to it always being busy

27/07/2025: Good selection as several different outlets, pizza, burger, subway, hot food counter, ice cream counter, fresh sandwiches, wrap counter, prepacked salads, something for most people. Friendly service, good wheelchair accessible toilet, fast charging point for electric vehicle.

20/07/2025: Out of the way place well worth the effort. Great food, beautiful location. Found out by accident, but will now return every time we're in lough key. Make the effort and go visit.

10/07/2025: Beautiful setting. Really friendly staff. Rang ahead and Roger had a berth available and helped us pull the boat in. Food was excellent. Couldn't finish the ribs but got them to take away for later. Will be back.

19/07/2025: Have eaten here a few times and have to say its very very good, great selection on the menu and very homey type food, I can easily say you wont regret stopping here for a bite to eat or a couple cold ones.

06/07/2025: i went in here for saturday lunch with my mother. they took our order and brought out our starter really quickly and it was fantastic. unfortunately they then totally forgot about us and id say we were left waiting about an hour for our main course. it was terrific when it finally arrived but it was very bad service.

07/09/2025: We stopped off at this hotel on way home from Donegal for a coffee, and a restroom stop. Plenty of parking. Big hotel. When we walked in around 130pm on a Thursday, the reception was unmanned. We went into the bar, and ordered coffee and dessert to eat out in the foyer. The bathrooms were not as clean as you would expect them to be, and a little dated. The staff were OK, took the order and left us alone. I wasn't that impressed to be honest. I couldn't comment on the rooms or other facilities.

02/09/2025: Very warm and cosy,nice atmosphere, food brilliant, especially the breakfast, if being picky,,,it could be updated a little, but beautiful still, staff sooooo friendly and helpful Will return
