L'Escale Restaurant

05/08/2025: You need a reservation for it. The wine list is decent too and the food is not bad either. Try it out if you are around. Staff is super nice and friendly.
22/07/2025: Seated in reserved tables. 1/2 table got food. The other 1/2 didn't. Had to keep asking for our food. By the time it arrived it's cold. Expensive for dinner. Told staff - not interested. Pictures are of the water opposite hotel.

Waterfront Bar, menu
23/07/2025: Meal was only meh. Staff were very nice and accommodating. We booked for 4 people but were sat at a 2 person table with 2 chairs brought over to us that they had to go around asking for. Very squashed at the table which is fine for walk in but we had it booked. Food was all around only meh. I got the pizza which was straight out of the lidl frozen section. The icecream came out on a plate and half melted. My first bite of the icecream was warmer than the pizza

03/08/2025: Should just close it at this stage. Asked for a chicken kebab and normally you'd expect salad and the trimings but no such luck. As dry as cardboard, just chopped up bits of chicken thrown into a cold, limp pitta and not as much as an ounce of flavour. Very disappointing. The girl at the counter barely said thanks and the rest of the staff seemed like they had no interest being there. Nowhere near worth the ā¬25 price. Been going for years but from now on I'll take my chances elsewhere.
11/07/2025: 4 years ago I got the worst food poisoning of my life from Antonellis. I hadn't stepped foot in the place since until today. Ordered 2 fish and chips. One fish looked like a battered fish and the other looked like it was begging to be put out of it's misery. It had been cooked more than once and tasted disgusting. I ate a small bit, struggling to even chew it and I have not felt well since. This place seriously needs to be inspected. Lesson learned, never again will I eat here again.

17/07/2025: Wow I can't believe anyone would give it more than 1 star! Unless they have never actually had a real chinese and this is there only experiences of it! I would give it minus if I could. The food is repulsive! I mean totally disgusting. Every few years they are 'under new management' but unfortunately the chef doesn't seem to change. Chinese is my favourite, i woudnt eat here ever again, even if it was free!
03/06/2025: So I eat here alot. In fact I will be ordering at 5 today. I just came on to check the menu and decided to write my review and previous experiences. I find the food delicious and staff friendly and the service excellent. No complaints here. When I have visitors come to stay they always ask for a meal from here at least once during there stay. (that may say more about my cooking mind you). Seriously I would have no problem recommending this restaurant.

18/08/2025: Ordered takeaway delivered to local campsite.
Menu is clever, all takeaways should do similar, it breaks down dishes by meat and then choose sauce.
It was expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants. E.g. a side of brocoli was ā¬9.
But wow was the broccoli good! Honey chicken starter was yummy too.
Delivery driver was friendly and efficient.
Great dinner, would recommend.
14/07/2025: We really liked it, š needed a sit down meal at tea time ā²ļø instead of a takeaway and this fitted the bill nicely. The service was excellent as we were the only ones eating but they were very busy with dishing out takeaways fast and furious so other people must have liked the food which was a good sign for us. The food was excellent and we had a starter and a main meal each and there was plenty of choice for drinks and iu chose the Tsingteo beer as it's Chinese. The only downside was we wanted a coffee āļø each afterwards š and the machine hadn't worked for ages even a kettle would have given us a brew š.

Feast Cafe and Restaurant

29/06/2025: Apologies for posting but I stopped at Feast Cafe to buy a takeaway coffee. The coffee was unfortunately terrible. Iām not sure how a cafe can serve such horrible coffee beans but hopefully if I post this comment, the owners will change by buying & serving drinkable coffee.
15/03/2025: Very rude waitress brought out the wrong food and was very rude and dismissive when we told her the food was wrong. Will not be returning until they change the rude staff member. My friend has been very poorly since eating at the restaurant. Don't go to this place awful staff and food makes you ill
