02/05/2026: Very disappointed, chips not freshly cooked, tasteless, chicken kebab slopped together,no garlic sauce or chili sauce on the kebab??? Why??? Quarter pounder again slopped together,meat not nice, only nice thing was milkshake,staff member a little abrupt for my liking.

02/04/2026: Always a warm welcome from the owners…..I reviewed here yrs ago and returned to the site to see if it was still open.Ive popped in on occasions over the years but not in the last 6 mnts.As I scrolled down I saw the owners wife being mentioned.Id just like to say a nicer more decent lady you could not meet.I’d really recommend the pub

27/03/2026: Mulvihill’s bar is a fantastic spot with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I visited for a Grow Remote event and couldn’t have picked a better venue. It’s a family-run place, and Bernie and Dermot are genuinely down to earth and friendly. The pub has real charm, especially with its lovely back garden. Highly recommend—you can’t go wrong!

21/06/2026: Mediocre experience. We tried six dishes, only one of which impressed us. Scallops 1/5. A disorganized dish with no harmony whatsoever. Good ingredients, but no connection between them, no harmony. A combination of scallops and meat on the same plate. To forget. Mixed fish platter 3/5. The fish burger was very good, the shrimp and salmon were nothing special. Again, no harmony in the dish. Chowder 2/5. It's not chowder at all. It tastes like fish cooked separately and then topped with a sauce that tastes like béchamel. The worst chowder we've tried in 14 days. We had it practically every day. Goat cheese salad 2/5. Virtually no cheese and hard, dry Guinness bread. Salmon 3/5. Good but nothing special. The accompanying boiled vegetables were unseasoned and completely tasteless. Crumble 4/5, a convincing dessert! Must try. Really limited beer selection. No IPAs, and all industrial stuff.

11/05/2026: Good selection of beer, spirits & wine. Nice bar which is part of the Hodson bay hotel. If you're into craft beer produced by independent breweries,, they stock beers by black donkey brewery. I was at the hotel, last year for a family wedding.

28/10/2025: I was really looking forward to treating myself to a nice sit-down meal at Lann after about a year away. As a former weekly regular, I always raved about their exquisite food – bursting with authentic flavors and always incredibly tasty. But my visit on October 28th evening sround 6:15 PM left me terribly disappointed and queasy. I ordered the BBQ pork ribs as a starter, followed by the duck with steamed rice as my main, plus a Coke. The new waitress kindly agreed to bring everything out together. After about 10 minutes, the ribs arrived first. The initial bites were decent, but by the third rib, I discovered one side was fridge-cold while the other was barely warm – clearly undercooked or poorly reheated. The duck arrived midway through, and I flagged the issue right away. The waitress was apologetic, consulted the chef, and comped the ribs, which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, the main course was even worse. The duck was rubbery and lukewarm, with no trace of the crispy skin or sizzling presentation it used to have ( microwaved?) The rice was tepid, clumped, and felt like it had been microwaved rather than freshly steamed – zero steam or vibrancy. I barely touched it and left most of the meal behind. When it came time to pay (around £20, though it felt overpriced for the quality), the waitress asked for feedback. I was honest: the overall standard has plummeted. It seems like they might have a new chef, as nothing matched the high-quality dishes I remembered. The service was friendly, but the food was a far cry from the gem this place used to be. I felt unwell afterward and won't be returning. it's heartbreaking to see such a drop-off.

25/06/2026: Worst fresh cod ever - thick burnt batter and a miniscule amount of fish. Avoid.

10/06/2026: I got a pizza chip and drink. Pizza is 10 inches. heavy thick dough, dry, very little sauce. Chips some were recooked others not. but passable. my major issue is the price. 16.70 euro. I think that is far too expensive for a small pizza chip and can of drink. Pizza was really well below what to expect, as were the chips to be honest.
