01/02/2026: As a tourist traveling around the country, Cronin’s was amongst some of the best I’d been to. Now, as someone spending loads of time in Crosshaven, it’s still remains one of the best. The atmosphere is eclectic, yet very Irish. Artifacts of the town and pub’s history litter the walls and give you the sense of a larger narrative. Whether it’s a pint of Murphys, Beamish or a g&t, you know you’re in for a delicious gulp. The food is also high quality and excellent especially for a pub. There’s also a lovely monthly trad session, which, for a Canadian, is a beautiful experience that always feels wholesome and novel. So grab a creamy pint and nestle yourself into a corner, and enjoy the cozy atmosphere by the fire. Enjoy Cronin’s.

02/11/2025: I really enjoyed my meal here, the food was fantastic and the staff were incredible. The atmosphere was wonderful and the hand-painted art on the walls of the restaurant as well as on the stairs when going up were beautiful, the place seems like a real labour of love and it’s obvious every member of staff take huge pride in this restaurant. There are a large variety of options on the menu and the portions were huge! We were seated by the window and had a great view of the town, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly and made every effort to ensure we were all happy and didn’t need anything. One man in particular made an effort to chat with my family and even brought a complimentary dessert to celebrate my father’s birthday which was really kind, I wish we got his name because he was a very generous host. The lamb kofta was absolutely gorgeous and I will definitely be back to try more options on the menu as they all looked delicious and it was a struggle to pick just one. The menu also included vegetarian and vegan options so it’s suitable for pretty much anyone, as well as a play area for young kids which is very thoughtful. Thanks so much to all the staff for making a wonderful evening for my family, I have absolutely no complaints and will definitely be a returning customer!

12/01/2026: We had the most gorgeous meals here. The service is 5star and they are so accommodating for allergies, with a cheese allergy they did a whole separate course for us instead of the cheese course so we wouldn't be left out. The food so top quality and everything on the plate is there for a reason, simply delicious!!! Also the wine sommelier on hand to guide you is such a beautiful touch.

04/01/2026: The service was great ..friendly and prompt when we arrived. The pot of tea was lovely and that's about all the positives. The seafood chowder was not seafood chowder. It was some kind of seafood and veg soup. The fish tacos were all soggy and the fillings were extremely mean. The fish one tasted mostly of the mountain of shredded cabbage on top of it, the beef one was extremely chewy and the pork one tasted like dog food! It was actually disgusting! They should be ashamed of themselves serving that up! We had left home late that morning to get the ferry to Sherkin and just made it on time. We walked the length and breadth of Sherkin and got the ferry back to Baltimore beyond famished, having not eaten anything at all that day. We still left a lot of food. It was inedible. The waiting staff disappeared once the food was served. I went to the bar to get water. The glasses were all spotty and cloudy. They looked dirty. I had to also go to the bar to ask for salt and pepper. I really wouldn't recommend this place. I'd actually strongly recommend avoiding it.

04/02/2026: The food did not meet our expectations and did not justify the high price. The sirloin steak cost €36.50 and contained a lot of gristle. The crème brûlée was served very cold and in a pot that was too deep, even though this classic French dessert should have a warm, caramelized sugar top while the custard underneath remains cooler. Overall, the experience was disappointing considering the price.
