13/05/2025: We had a wonderful time at Cafe On The Lane. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of fresh pastries, cakes, etc. and a good selection of savoury sandwiches too. Reasonably priced and the quality of the food and drinks is fantastic. Very cute decor too.

12/06/2025: Super tasty breakfast! Got the focaccia sandwich and the mushroom toast. Excellent flavors and super fresh ingredients. Vanilla cardamom latte was the cherry on top! Everyone raves about this place for a reason.

Had mushroom on sourdough with Halloumi …absolutely perfect.
Home made lemonade, and cappuccino. Lovely banter with staff.
Very cute interior. It felt like walking into a friend’s for breakfast.

14/07/2025: Went out for dinner with my parents and children. The food was slow to come out. The wait staff didn’t take our order correctly. My stir fry was average, noodles were not cooked properly and chewy. We ordered prawns and mashed potatoes which apparently the wait staff never wrote down. I asked for the prawns again but the potatoes never came. We got the bill and it was incorrect. Staff weren’t bad but came across unbothered. My parents enjoy the oar regularly but we were disappointed.
It is in a beautiful location with gorgeous views and my parents enjoyed their meals. (Fish of the day and fish and chips)
Chicken wings were also a winner with my kids.

13/06/2025: If you go to Kinsale you must visit the Bulman. Amazing food, staff and atmosphere. I could have stayed here all day.
11/06/2025: Excellent pub atmosphere and service: however I was appallingly ill despite choosing from the GF menu which surprised me; either flour was used in the rib sauce or contamination occurred on frying of the chips. Shame because it felt confident about its allergen safe offering. Be careful.

04/07/2025: Popped in for dinner while staying in Glandore. Lovely spot with great views over the water. Food was great and staff were very accommodating. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Be sure to book a table, is a busy spot!

21/06/2025: We went to Salina for dinner. The food and service were fine, and the restaurant looked really nice, better than other halal places.
While sitting at our table, we talked about how we found the food a bit expensive. It was a private talk between us. But the owner overheard it and made a rude comment when we were paying. He said someone compared his food to takeaway and that he didn’t want to see that customer again. It felt like he was talking about us and trying to embarrass us.
This was very unprofessional. If you run a public restaurant, you should be able to accept different opinions. We didn’t complain to any staff, we just talked to each other. The owner’s behaviour ruined our experience.

22/06/2025: This Hotel has everything to make it a perfect getaway to recharge the batteries and have wonderful time with your partner. We only had the one night there but squeezed so much in. The e-bikes make it so easy to explore all of the trails that you can walk if you have time. The food was as you expect it having the name Ballymaloe attached to it. Plentiful choices for lunch, fab 5 course dinner and excellent drinks/wine options. Left after the 1 night tasting more of the wonderful cuisine with a hearty Ballymaloe full Irish 😋
19/06/2025: We did not stay but dine there. Nice fresh food and very friendly, polite and professional staff. Very good selection of wines for every paladar. Fair price for a 5 course meal as well as drinks reasonably priced. Beautiful setup too. We will be back at some stage and we would recommend with no hesitation.

We were served in a very friendly and welcoming manner, even though there were eight people and service can be complicated, all the dishes came out at the same time. I shared a dish with another person, and when I told them, they brought us two individual plates with the shared dish. I thought it was a nice touch. As for the food, it was very good. I especially recommend the cheese and beetroot focaccia. It was perfectly balanced and flavorful. The Schnitzel was very crispy and juicy. Highly recommended for a leisurely meal. Thanks to the #cracked... bistro team for their service :)

05/07/2025: Field's is legendary. Fabulous in-house breads, cakes, black puddings, rashers etc. A really superb selection of wines, I picked up some amazing wines - 2nd & 5th growth Bordeaux. When in the area it is a must to stop into Field's.
