Popped into Jake’s Cakes for breakfast with my wife and really enjoyed it. Apparently under new ownership, and it feels like they’ve struck a great balance between the old-school restaurant vibes and a refreshed, updated menu. The food was good, the coffee was excellent, and the value for money was really impressive. The staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming, which always makes a difference. They’ve also got a bakery next door with a huge selection of pastries. We couldn’t resist picking up a few for our mate Dylan to celebrate his recent 5-year workaversary! 🥐 All in all, a great spot for a relaxed breakfast, good coffee and a few treats to take away. Looking forward to coming back and seeing how things develop under the new ownership!

I’ve been to Jakes for breakfast quite a few times and I’m always happy to go for their fry-up, which is consistently good. On my most recent visit, though, I decided to try something different because of their summer breakfast specials. I’m not usually a huge fan of avocado and eggs on toast, but for €10 including tea or coffee, I thought I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did because this was by far the tastiest version of avocado and eggs on toast I’ve had so far! The combination of the creamy avocado, eggs, feta and roasted tomatoes was absolutely delicious, and it was really nicely presented too. It’s not something I would normally choose, but I would 100% order this again. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good-value breakfast in Bandon.

Perfect place for the family if you are hungry and just want a good filling meal with a desert fresh from the bakery. I highly recommend the salmon carbonara it's delicious the best I've ever tasted. Great staff good atmosphere a mixture of locals and tourists. Good value for money great menu. I highly recommend this place even if you just want a coffee.

#Cracked...Bistro

14/10/2026: Delicious food! I ordered a goat's cheese foccacia and a tropical smoothie, and my brother got a Tricolour salad and a Capri Sun. We paid slightly more than 15 euro for each of our dishes, 5 for the smoothie and 1.75 for the Capri sun. The goat's cheese was very strong - I enjoyed it a lot! We got served in about 20 minutes from ordering, which is quite good for a lunch rush order. It wasn't very busy, but there were a decent number of other people eating there as well.
05/08/2026: Really enjoyed a recent visit to Cracked for coffee and dessert. The atmosphere was lively in this busy Bandon Bistro, the service was superb and I loved the presentation of my dessert , amazing attention to detail and it tasted delicious too ! Highly recommend !

Gym junkiez superfoods

14/10/2026: I try to eat as healthily as possible, but finding ready-made food that is both healthy and genuinely tasty can be a real challenge. That’s where Gym Junkies excels. Working long shifts on the road can be exhausting, and having delicious, healthy meals ready to go makes my working days so much easier and more enjoyable. I love having something tasty to look forward to throughout my shifts, without having to worry about meal planning, shopping for lots of different ingredients or spending my precious time off preparing food. Being able to stock up on meals for my longest shifts is a game-changer. After a long, exhausting day at work, the last thing I want to do is come home and start preparing food. I love how the menu changes so I never feel like I’m eating the same things every day. I also enjoy cooking different things myself on my days off, knowing that my work meals are already sorted. Gym Junkies saves me time, gives me more time for myself, helps me catch up on life’s chores and, most importantly, gives me more time to spend with my family. A huge thank you to Sean and his team 🤗
27/09/2026: Great food and coffee! Not just for lunch but also for the weekly meal deals for the week. So healthy and tasty, we keep reordering!! Highly recommend!
