The Whale's Tail in Clonakilty

We had a very delicious dinner today at your restaurant. Incredibly tender fish, with a wonderful sauce, steamed broccoli and lightly crusted potatoes. I recommend it! The waiters are very pleasant, and the presentation of the dishes meets high standards. Thank you!

Well what can I say,first of all we were greeted at the door very warmly,our server Danny was brilliant, made good recommendations a good crack but also professional in his job,starters had great presentation and flavours popped in your mouth,Main course again couldn't fault it,and dessert ,well,main course beat all but me,I had one,couldn't resist. Would highly recommend this establishment, booking though is a must..

One of the best restaurants I've been too, inside and outside both look amazing and the food and service is good EVERYTIME. I would definitely recommend to anybody I meet.

Crab croquetes and Duck Gyozas were very good, so was the dessert (Rhubard Crumble). Seafood linginies I didn't like, too much creamy and greasy. Also comparing to similar restaurants in the area it is too expensive. And the toilet was dirty, the water didn't run properly!

I have eaten at the whales tail on many occasions, I am looking forward to dining again there over the Easter weekend. The food is very good quality with plenty of choice and a great specials board, the food is always consistent in quality, never had a bad meal and the portions are plentiful. The experience of the staff, both their service and their politeness goes a very long way. There is a great ambiance and is very clean. Good value for money considering the quality of the food. I would highly recommend paying a visit.

Had such a lovely Mother’s Day spent at the whales tail where every mom was given a goody bag with a box of chocolates leaving - it was a lovely touch and very memorable experience. Food was divine and service was fantastic. We will most definitely be returning!

Very well presented high standard of cuisine. The service excellent and the food tasted glorious. Ideal place to visit especially after the distillery tour. Highly recommend.
