02/07/2024: Amazing food. Had the beetroot salmon special for starter which was fantastic and the dessert of rice pudding was great. Will be back.

09/10/2024: Wow, I wish I had the euros to buy and maintain this stunning place. Perhaps I could afford a night or two next time I'm down this way. The interior of the house is fabulous and the outside surrounds and view are to die for. Be sure to check out the horses heads in the stables (just below the top windows). Also make sure you climb the 100 steps (didn't count them but that's what they are called). The views from the top are superb. All in all well worth the adventure all round. A must see.

04/10/2024: Stunning views, tearoom with delicious brownies which feel like they contain 90 percent chocolate, delicious teas and coffee. The gardens are also worth a visit and offer breathtaking views over bantry bay. Good place to spend some time. Also the house is worth a visit and shows the history of West Cork and the family of the Earl's of Bantry Family White

05/11/2024: Went with my 9 year daughter after Mass. She delighted with the treat , so was I, definitely recommend, always good.

31/10/2024: We had two toasted sandwiches and a biscoff cupcake, all tasted super lovely! The structure of the sandwiches could’ve been a bit better as most of the filling was on one side.

25/10/2024: Had dinner here with family recently. Going to start at the beginning. Pulled up outside and the music was blaring. Sounded like a disco. In we went and were assaulted by the decor and the tacky looking cocktail bar. I was very unsure. We were seated and as I looked around, I realised that the place looks awful but is spotless. And I mean spotless. The food was good. Simple and straight forward but good, fresh, well cooked food. I wouldn't be going here for a fancy dinner but it's perfect for a bite. It wasn't particularly busy while we were there and there were only 2 people working and they seemed to be under pressure so the service wasn't fantastic. However, the staff were very friendly and they were helpful once we called them over. Long story short, I would eat here again and I was pleasantly surprised despite the offputting first impression.

07/11/2024: Nice to stay here. A little bit of walking to the harbour and main street. Great view from breakfast area. Really nice pints of Murphy here. Food was great too!

14/11/2024: Ali & the rest of the staff are the most friendly individuals that welcome us. Had seekh kabab that was absolutely delicious, generous portion served with Nan. We look very look forward to visit them again while we are staying in Bantry. Highly recommend their food & service.

18/08/2024: Recently tried the pizza here and was fantastic. Lovely base and sauce and fresh ingredients & not heavy at all.

11/08/2024: Best pizza in cork, the chicken tenders are amazing and the chips with mozzarella are a must, I would definitely recommend

28/09/2024: The restaurant is super cozy. The garden is fantastic. The owners are German and really value quality and service. The food is excellent and special in the region. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by

29/08/2024: Nice step 🤩 On the heights of Baltimore, pretty little “boutique hotel” run by a brother and a sister, one in the kitchen, the other at the reception. German rigor, they are, it is perfectly maintained. The “grandmother” takes care of it 😉 Congratulations to Frédérick for his cooking, FINALLY, a light, fragrant cuisine, much appreciated after 2 weeks of frying 😅….only, the weather got the better of us 😰☔️🌂! Thank you, too, for the “free” delivery of the Parisian pajamas 😅👍🏻We will come back to hope to see, one day, the whales 🐋🐳 Thanks for EVERYTHING

05/10/2024: Small local pub with fireplace and pub dog named Lucy. I only drank, and did not eat while I was here. Pub was comfortable and the bartender was friendly.

23/09/2024: Lovely atmosphere and fantastic staff. We did the tasting menu and wine pairing and cannot say enough good things about this establishment. Thank you so much for having us!

21/09/2024: Bastion is well worth your time; even if it’s only for a drink and a snack at the bar. We stopped in without a reservation and were able to spend some time at the bar. It was a welcome change from a noisy pub and the bar snacks were next level. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and extremely accommodating. You could tell they take great care in making guests feel welcome; even folks like us who popped in off the street after seeing the Michelin sign on the door. I can’t speak to the dinner menu, but from what we saw being served it looked beautiful and unique. The snacks at the bar were very good; go for the Iberian ham and olives, I’d also consider grabbing the cheese and crackers as well. We were in Kinsale on a whim and didn’t have time to make reservations, but if we are ever back in the area we’d absolutely be making dinner reservations.

26/10/2024: Made an online order. Arrived after 9 days with no warning and was missing items. I have emailed them 3 times so far looking for a refund for the missing items and I haven't even received an acknowledgement. I don't get it. Terrible customer service.
