26/01/2026: We visited place for late breakfast and didn't have wait for table too long but place was absolutely packed. Food was served quickly and when asked for hot coffee it was delivered. Also like that they are some different breakfats option that are super different from popular porridge, irish bfast or gronowa bowl. Kudos for having something a bit of different.

23/12/2025: I have been a long time customer of Pan but after the experience I received today I will never return. Headed there on our lunch break today ordered food no problem my food came after about 10 minutes and my friend was a further 30+ minutes waiting for her takeaway it was very evident the order was forgotten as ample people who had come after us had left before us. After asking the girl who took our order how long more we’d be waiting bare in mind she had gone on her lunch break and come back as we were already waiting over 30 minutes at this point she went to check and insisted it would be one minute a further 5/10 had passed and no sign. At this stage as I had ordered a toasted sandwich it was cold so I went to ask can it be reheated as I was still waiting for my friend. I saw the girl go tell the owner I would like my food reheated I saw him roll his eyes and storm off into the kitchen. I then proceeded after him and told him give me back my food if it was such an issue for a paying customer who had waited 35 minutes for a takeaway order to have the toasted sandwich (cold toast) reheated you then tried to insist you were trying to help me after you knew I had saw you rolling your eyes and giving out! You didn’t even have the actual decency to apologise after you handed me my food you had a horrible attitude. You put free soup in the bag which we never asked for I would of rathered an apology, If it wasn’t for the behaviour of yourself David I wouldn’t have even bothered to write this review as a business owner you should care more about customers perception of you. 45 minutes we waited in total for takeaway sandwiches and not even an apology!!

05/02/2026: Delicious food, beautiful decor (we went just after Christmas), great service, friendly staff. The portion sizes were big. Plenty of parking along the road. We would happily go back for a special occasion.

14/12/2025: My mum and I went here for dinner recently. The place was absolutely gorgeous, decorated beautifully. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. We ordered the hake and the fish & chips. We were so impressed. The hake and cauliflower were beautifully cooked ( massive portions too ). The fish and chips were so tasty, one of the best I’d say. The tartare sauce was unreal! Also a massive portions ( 2 big filets of fish ). We then had the apple crumble and the x-mas pudding for dessert, which were so good! I would definitely recommend this place! We’ll be back :)

29/08/2025: Fields have put a lot of money bringing their shop up to the standards of the 21st century. Unfortunately, they didn't use the opportunity to bring the standards of their toilets up too. No wheelchair accessible toilets. No excuse in this day and age especially as they are running an in-house cafe. The cafe leaves a lot to be desired. The coffee is awful, food is mediocre and the tables not very clean. UPDATE Fields had a single bathroom downstairs which they had allocated to the elderly. However, they have since taken down that sign and replaced it with a free for all. There is no sign to tell able-bodied customers to use the ample toilet facilities upstairs. Now there is often a queue for their single toilet downstairs. Had they put any thought into the design or had any consideration for the disabled they could have easily made the downstairs wheelchair-friendly and solved a number of issues. They do advertise that their car park has wheelchair accessible spaces. There are not enough of these and cars and delivery lorrie’s are constantly blocking the ramps. Wake up Fields!!

30/01/2026: We came down for a late lunch and from the minute we walked in, everything was just perfect. Friendly staff greeted us and took us to our table, there was only 2 or 3 other occupied tables so it was quiet but straight away, our drinks order was taken. White wine was delicious and the Guiness was creamy! we ordered from the set menu and the main menu and neither disappointed. The Korean BBQ pork bites were huge and full of flavour and the chicken wings were covered evenly and fully with hot sauce! Mains of chips, fish and chips and a seafood poke bowl left us feeling content and full to the brim, although we did have space for a chocolate brownie. It was more like a chocolate cake consistency, however, delicious non the less. The staff couldnt be more accommodating of my MIL with mobility issues and opened the back door for us which meant there were no steps to tackle on the way out. Stunning service. Would highly recommend making a reservation, especially on a bank holiday weekend.

03/01/2026: Best sea food chowder I have ever had, and I've tried a lot of others. Another one of our group said the federblade of beef was melt in the mouth. The staff were very accommodating for seven of us even though we hadn't booked lunch on a busy Saturday and were so helpful and polite during our time there. Couldn't recommend Clancy's enough if you are ever in Youghal.

27/12/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited JC Fish & Chips takeaway in West Cork and the food was incredibly delicious. I had the fish of the day with chips and an apple juice. Everything was very fresh, high quality, and perfectly cooked. The price was very reasonable for such great food. I’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!

20/10/2025: We were immediately warmly received by Steve, the barkeep with superb Irish coffees and friendly conversation after our overnight flight from the States. He, along with the other local gents at the bar, gave us a solid recommendations for local food and fare in Cobh and other towns along our way. Slightly apart from the crowds and bulk of the other waterfront pubs, Connie Doolan's offers a heartfelt welcome, smooth drinks, and authentic local atmosphere. I'll always cherish my first and best drink in Ireland at Connie Doolan's! And cheers to the Sunday-drinkin' gents at the bar and our laughs together!
