22/06/2025: The best blueberry scones we've ever tasted, served with raspberry jam and fresh cream to go with great coffee. Fantadtic value fir money. Beautiful cafe, unique decor and artwork.

30/06/2025: Stayed here 2 nights with my partner for my birthday. The staff were absolutely brilliant, always friendly. Breakfast was stunning & my partner enjoyed her wagyu steak. The leisure facilities are spot on, the rooms are brilliant. Will most certainly look to revisit.

22/06/2025: Absolutely stunning. Perfect for our relaxing weekend getaway. Highly recommended. Swimming and surfing is allowed. There is bathroom including a shower room for an after swim wash. Indeed we had a great day.

23/06/2025: The beef short rib was a very small portion, and very expensive. The fish and chips weren't crispy enough. It was good that they served half pints. The staff seemed uninterested. The air conditioning was strong.

04/07/2025: I went to this restaurant after reading the google reviews and I must say that I was not disappointed at all. The food was amazing because all seafood dishes pasta, chowder, prawn curry etc. amazing food and service was good. Highly recommended!!

27/05/2025: We had a great stay at the White Lady in Kinsale. Anthony and his team looked after us so well. The restaurant food was very good. The atmosphere, service and helpfulness of staff make it a place I would thoroughly recommend to stay.

16/06/2025: Jim Edwards is one of the best dining locations in this gourmet town of Kinsale, Ireland. Ask the locals for the best spot for fish and chips and this restaurant is one of the first mentioned. I had seafood chowder, rib eye steak & stickey toffee pudding- scrumptious! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the town. Oh yes, I also tasted their medley of Irish whiskey- 😇

05/07/2025: We were visiting Ireland and stopped at Skibbereen for lunch. The plant based meal was one of the best I have ever eaten. My husband and I split the mushroom sub and we each had a bowl of vegetable soup. The flavors in both were delicious and perfectly balanced. It was the best veggie soup we have had. The mushrooms were marinated so well that it gave a rich flavor to the sandwich.

29/06/2025: A brilliant bookshop, but their bigger premises five minutes down the road, Inanna Rare Books is phenomenal, well worth having a look in both.

19/05/2025: Found this little gem and had breakfast both mornings we were in Skibbereen. Fantastic, friendly service and great food, freshly prepared for us. I am a bit of a coffee snob and was not disappointed..... If I return to Skibbereen I shall most certainly revisit Applebettys... PS, thanks for finding and posting my sunglasses. X

06/07/2025: Based on all of the "amazing", "incredible", and "best seafood I have ever eaten" reviews, we were genuinely disappointed. We had reservations and were seated promptly, with the option of inside or outside. We chose outside. Immediately, the waitress wanted to take our drink AND food order. We ordered scallops and salmon, which arrived at our table in under 5 minutes. That was surprising. Was it made to order or simply assembled with pre-made ingredients? Both of our meals were fine - not bad but certainly nothing special. From the time we arrived until the end of our meal was 30 minutes, and that even included cocktails. The restaurant was not crowded so I don't know why the rush. The atmosphere inside was classy. Outside felt more casual. There was a lattice wall outside covered in filthy, plastic ivy. Not what one would expect from a high-end restaurant. So overall, the food was fine, the service was rushed, and I'm sorry that I fell for all of the "fishy" reviews. I could not recommend this restaurant. I was truly disappointed.
