Max's in Kinsale

Max's finally reopened for the season, yay! Decided to try it for the first time. Initial impression when you walk in is beautiful, great atmosphere and attention to details, warm and friendly welcome from Ann Marie. Food choice is a 2 course set menu, lovely meat and fish options. Our dishes were super tasty and the presentation was divine. The complimentary bread, butter and tapenade was a perfect touch. Amazing wine list very reasonably priced, we tried some Italian orange wine and French red. Ended our meal with some dessert and port, everything was excellent. Siobhán looked after us very professionally. Big claps to the chef Olivier and his team, we look forward to come back! Fedi & Jim

Had dinner here last night and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Kinsale. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the atmosphere and the way we were looked after. Easy to see why it’s lasted so long. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to Ann Marie and Siobhán for looking after us.

Stayed in Kinsale for one evening on our Tour of Ireland. We decided on Max's and we were very happy we did. The food was fantastic and service was superb. The owner (lady) was supper sweet. Gave us so many tips for things to do with our time in Ireland. We truly enjoyed the small town feel and felt like we were invited over for dinner!

Absolutely lovely evening spent here. Food was excellent and a very high quality with loads of lovely flavours. The atmosphere was cosy and kind. It was not pretentious at all. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you had everything and enjoyed your evening.
