Stopped off here on the way down west as ive seen really good reviews on the food here. My wife said " the best chicken wings shes everhad " and even a simple dish like the chicken goujons were lovely and well presented.
Staff were very nice and welcoming and service was quick and it got very busy for lunch which is always a good sign. The food was so fresh. Highly recommend a visit.
On our way from Cork Airport, my hubby and I popped in here for dinner on Sunday evening, as our usual place was booked up. We got a table easy enough, which was great. We were attended to by a few different people, they came across mostly as friendly and the young man who brought us our food was very professional! We both ordered steaks, accompanied by chips, onions and mushrooms. I ordered mine “medium” but it was more “medium to well done” but not a biggie, I was hungry.
The only negative of the evening was the frostiness of the woman who took our money at the end, it felt like because we weren’t regulars we didn’t deserve any small talk or niceties, she barely met our gaze (we watched this same woman talk for quite a while to another older couple about their dog, so it wasn’t that she was unfriendly.. just only to non regulars!). A shame that this was the “parting shot” (impression) and it doesn't encourage us to become “more regular”.. other than that, the food is fine and the younger staff are nice and attentive.
