Bayleaf bistro in Bandon

Nice food, but I found it a bit expensive and the portion size wasn’t exactly huge. 5euro for a pint of water is like something you’d see in Italy or France. Friendly staff.

I visited early August with my husband, our toddler and my mother-in-law, and I’m so glad we decided to give it another try after not having been in years. I ordered the roast special of the day, which was lamb shank, and it was a huge portion! I struggled to finish it, but it was absolutely delicious. The gravy in particular was divine, and I always think you can tell a lot about a restaurant by its gravy 😂. This one definitely passed my test! The others had fish and chips, which I of course had to sample too, and they were very tasty. The service was quick and friendly, and I really liked the atmosphere. It’s a lovely, smaller restaurant, and the noise levels were low enough that we could comfortably enjoy a conversation while eating, which is always a bonus when dining with family. Overall, we were really happy with our meal and the experience. I’d absolutely recommend Bayleaf Bistro and would happily return.

Delicious food with great presentation and big portions. The staff were lovely

Gorgeous lovely food, I had the lamb which was delicious, lovely presentation and good portions, will be back

Enjoyed a gorgeous lunch here over the weekend. The service was excellent, great portions and our food was delicious. Huge range of desserts and beautiful wine! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner in Bandon. Loved the interior also and there's a great view of Bandon's new streetscape from the window seats!
