08/06/2025: Had the classic. Great home made sausage with just the right spices. Roll held together till the end. Onions and peppers were tender and fresh.

04/06/2025: Contained in the huge English Market SC ,this place stands out from all the other exceptional vendors. Just a small stall with usually only 3 workers, it can turn out food to die for. All sandwiches are make rite on the spot. You can customize or order any of the house specials. Grab a special, find a quiet spot, (not possible) and enjoy.

18/04/2026: Food is always good here. Just had the double baked hazelnut nut pain au chocolat. Amazing. Will definitely be back for more. Staff very friendly, couldn't be more helpful. Coffee is good too. Always enjoy coming here.

18/04/2026: Have been visiting Bakestone Cafe for many years and have noticed of late definite deterioration in both food and staff. Today ordered pancakes for my granddaughter and coffees and pastries for myself and husband Coffees were reasonably ok. Pancakes came in medium size plate. Two large pancakes thrown onto the plate thick and unappetising with nothing else Had to ask for Nutella. She had been looking forward to them all morning and she cried when she saw them. Couldn’t believe any chef would allow something that awful leave their kitchen. Needless to say they were not eaten. Then you have people going around with a trolly collecting dirty dishes from the tables with no respect for people eating We were definitely not impressed and won’t be rushing back there.

28/03/2026: Great food, excellent service and very friendly staff. The best fish and chips in all of West Cork. The chips and curry were divine!
