08/05/2026: This is one of the best restaurants in Cork. I have been a customer for many years, and they have never compromised on quality. The food is superb, and the outdoor area on sunny summer days is a must.
30/03/2026: Absolutely gorgeous meal in the LifeBoat yesterday evening. The Hake was delicious and my husband got the seafood gratin, it was all so delicious! We’d definitely return.

14/05/2026: Had a charming stay in this lovely hotel. Room was spotless and had a lovely sea view. The food was fantastic both breakfast and dinner and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
06/05/2026: Magic place, lovely staff, music on Sundays in the bar, top class food in the back bar and very nice classical restaurant also. Good value for top quality ingredients. Plenty of parking but can be busy maybe make reservation at weekends for food, beachfront fantastic views across the bay

The Golden Pheasant

05/05/2026: We drove to Courtmacsherry specifically to try the Golden Pheasant as a final stop on our holiday. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. We waited a while to be seated and even longer before our order was taken, by which point many of the items we wanted were sold out. When my coffee arrived, it was actually nice but was served in a handleless glass that was too hot to hold, causing further delay.
When we were finished and asked for the bill, our waitress never returned, meaning we had to eventually go to the till to ask what we owed, where we were initially presented with the wrong bill. Each issue was relatively minor, but it added up to a poor experience overall.
09/02/2026: Nice cafe for a spot of lunch in a lovely part of the country.

23/09/2024: Dit restaurant wordt steeds populairder en drukker en ondanks dat blijft de sfeer goed. Het avondeten en ontbijt waren weer van goede kwaliteit.
