15/10/2025: Awesome experience. The setup is so welcoming. The food served was unbelievably good. Neat and clean toilets. Definitely a must visit. Well done.

01/10/2025: A very popular place, too crowded inside, loud, and hectic. Quiet outside, but I wouldn't have wanted to eat inside; it was too crowded for my liking. The food wasn't outstanding but adequate, more like a fast-food restaurant. The service was hectic and restless, I just wanted to get my fill and leave.

28/10/2025: I was there for a birthday party, and we ate dinner, dessert, and a drink. We really liked delicious the 24-hour roasted beef, and the mushroom tart appetizer was equally delicious. The cocktail was authentic and tasty, not fake like in other places. The atmosphere, music, cleanliness, and friendly staff are all great. You can tell that the entire staff takes good care of this place. I'll definitely be back. I recommend it.

25/10/2025: Decided to eat out tonight. Nice crowd & was given a table soon as we arrived. Noticed reserved signs on tables. Staff efficient for sure, no delays or mixup. Have eaten here often, always satisfied with food choice & quantities of food in the dishes. Tonight we felt our food choice was compromised we also found that ingredients were missing from our dishes in which had been part of in the past. Staff were to a minimum tonight...actually felt that it was alot of pressure for one staff member. Three staff on duty on a busy Fri eve of the bank holiday ?? Staff cutbacks was obvious tonight. Can't ever understand why owners of these establishments are willing to take take take from the local customer & others but yet the customer & staff are denied proper care & attention to detail. Prices on the one sheet menu are higher also??? Why guys? 😞

13/07/2025: We knew we hit the jackpot when we saw the queue out the door. The pastries are beautiful, especially the Raspberry Danish. The staff were lovely and the coffee was delicious. We grabbed a sourdough special on the way out the door.

03/07/2025: I recommend going here for breakfast or lunch, or just for sourdough bread or sweet baked. There's not that many seating, but there is some, it's also perfect for takeaway. I loved the sourdough and kimchi sandwich. Freshly baked and great taste. And the banana bread was very good! Nice staff and good service. You just have to try it🙌 I'm coming back!

04/10/2025: They let us get in telling us they would have served food at 5pm, as the kitchen opens at that time. We had a drink in the meantime and waited til 5 to order something to eat. At 5 we asked for the food menu and we were told they're booked out and we cannot have any food. Apart from that, they all had very cold and unwelcoming demeanor. Just a pity, really, as I used to live here and wanted my family and friends to just have a lovely time. 1 star just because 0 is not possible and the view, which clearly is the only lovely thing about the place.

30/08/2025: I ordered a salad with shrimps — it was incredible! The shrimps are huge, juicy and simply divine in taste. I also tried the duck — it was incredibly tasty, tender and well-cooked. Very satisfied, I will definitely come again!

24/08/2025: Tasty, uncomplicated food, reasonably priced, friendly service. We had haddock goujons, chicken supreme, sticky toffee pudding, rhubarb crumble, teas, coffees etc and all were excellent.

29/08/2025: Fields have put a lot of money bringing their shop up to the standards of the 21st century. Unfortunately, they didn't use the opportunity to bring the standards of their toilets up too. No wheelchair accessible toilets. No excuse in this day and age especially as they are running an in-house cafe. The cafe leaves a lot to be desired. The coffee is awful, food is mediocre and the tables not very clean. UPDATE Fields had a single bathroom downstairs which they had allocated to the elderly. However, they have since taken down that sign and replaced it with a free for all. There is no sign to tell able-bodied customers to use the ample toilet facilities upstairs. Now there is often a queue for their single toilet downstairs. Had they put any thought into the design or had any consideration for the disabled they could have easily made the downstairs wheelchair-friendly and solved a number of issues. They do advertise that their car park has wheelchair accessible spaces. There are not enough of these and cars and delivery lorrie’s are constantly blocking the ramps. Wake up Fields!!

28/09/2025: I stayed in the celtic ross hotel last night and me and my girlfriend visited this pub Saturday afternoon for food and drinks the food was beautiful and the staff were so nice the atmosphere was so good we stayed till 12ish

22/06/2025: After moving to the area we finally got to visit and we wasn’t disappointed. It’s great that you can have a drink in the bar area and have a look at the menu before moving through to the restaurant. All our dishes were fantastic and they have a great wine selection. This is the sort of place you could enjoy a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine or a bowl of mussels with a pint of lager. Many more visits to follow hopefully!

27/04/2025: Finders Inn, Nohoval is warm, cosy, full of character and charm. The food is top class - always - with plenty to choose from. My favourites the hors d'oeuvre or Seafood in Filo pastry to start followed by Cassoulet of Seafood or Rack of Lamb for mains (I find it very difficult to choose!) Delicious sides (included in price) potato gratin, roasted vegetables and chips add to make this a 10/10 meal on flavour every time. We LOVE coming to Finders for a night out. It’s the best restaurant as far as I’m concerned.

15/09/2025: So stopped in here yesterday going to Cork from Dublin, as i have been since i was a kid, oh how this place has gone down hill, one of 4 of us travelling had special dietary requirements, there was nothing on the menu i could eat so i asked could I just have a toastie, was told NO, asked someone else could they ask the chef, a few minutes later a girl in a green shirt came from behind and starting speaking while my back was turned to her, she couldn't even wait to get to table and face me, she wouldn't even listen to me just said nothing i can do and walked off, then the foreign man who works there came over and asked me am i eating, i said no I'm not eating, as he walked away and turns around and says GOOD, what a disgrace he was, all i was asking for was a chicken toastie, they had a toaster right there, they had bread and they had chicken, i eventually ordered garlic bread with cheese just to have something, when i ordered that the rude foreign guy says i knew you wouldn't leave without eating with a stupid smirk on his face, the cheek of him, i was the one who recommended we stop in this so called "restaurant" the other people i was with said there food was horrible, lasagne under done, and two chickens over done, it's not restaurant quality and service isn't restaurant quality, it's not even good pub food, if your food is that bad at least have good service, do something right, it's like a horrible old dated nursing home with servers who have been working 12 hours shifts, when i went to pay and walked up to the till we asked could we pay, the rude foreign man just ignored us and walked off and didn't say anything, not even sorry I'll be back in a minute just blanked me and walked off, the owner can check the camera on that, anyway if you ever went here travelling from Dublin to Cork or are thinking about going here PLEASE don't, avoid it,they don't care if you have special dietary requirements, it's only 25 mins from Cork where you will get better food and service and in a takeaway van

21/09/2025: Nice pub, original cuisine (smoked mackerel fillet sandwiches), good service. Attentive waiters, good Irish atmosphere, even as a foreigner, the conversation starts very quickly.
