The best restaurants in Cork

14/06/2025: We (me, my husband and my puppy) were looking for a dog-friendly place to eat and came across this lovely spot! We sat outside in the beer garden by the road. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice to us. We had the fish tacos, goujons and hake! Food and drinks were great! Definitely recommend the place for a nice meal and drinks.

04/07/2025: Popped in Saturday evening on our way home and even though busy, a seat was found. Seemed popular and the food was really good.

02/07/2025: Great experience, the food was beautiful in flavour. We had the bruschetta for a starter and shared a pizza Panzo and the lasagna. The lasagna was a stand out for us, highly recommend! You can BYO your own wine otherwise they have house wines available.

02/06/2025: I stopped in for tea and sandwich on the patio. I ordered the egg mayo which is an egg salad sandwich with cucumbers and some micro greens. It was a good size and I had the option to add chips (fries) on the side for around 10 Euros. I had Earl Grey tea. It was delicious and popular with the locals.

13/05/2025: Love it here great menu always busy got to book BUT NOT OPEN ON WEEKENDS staff very friendly worth a visit, unfortunately since I put this up kirby's korner has since closed their doors last week for good 🥲

13/06/2025: One of the first pub’s I visited in Ireland over 15 years ago. And always make it a point to return here every time. Greatest pub in Ireland.

27/06/2025: Visited as staying nearby for a few days. We booked as previously unable to get a table walking in. It's a small modern, bright, tastefully decorated restaurant. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio and njoyed poppadoms anda chutney while looking at the menu. We shared starters of Vegetable Bhajjia and Panjabi Samosa Chaat, then a Chicken Jhalfrezi and a Chicken Saag, along with a Naan Basket and a roti. All our food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, even the popps were in small pieces, it was a fantastic meal, can say one of the best Indian meals I have had. Highly Recommend a Visit here. :) :) :)

16/06/2025: Very impolite. I am single craved Indian food wanted them to give me one seat that got me out of the restaurant!....never will go there alone or with friends...culture matters.

23/06/2025: We had a rather mixed experience for dinner. When making the booking I had requested a table around 7pm but was told there was a big group coming in at that time and we could only be accommodated at 6pm. When we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant and when we left it was still very empty. We were seated in a section of the restaurant on our own which meant the atmosphere was unfortunately very lacking. The food was good but not fantastic in my opinion; the vegetables in particular were over cooked and mushy (courgettes and peppers) and the potatoes were just ok. There's beautiful fresh produce in West Cork, particularly in summer, and it was shame not to see this reflected on the plates. The fish and venison which we had were very nice. The location and grounds are beautiful.

28/05/2025: We stopped for lunch during our motorcycle tour. Very good food, friendly service, and a lovely place for a short break.

29/05/2025: Stopped here for lunch before heading to Cork. Food was delicious! We started with prawns (as suggested by our server) Prawns were fresh and crispy. We also enjoyed Shepherd's pie along with Haddock fillets which were cooked to perfection! They have an array of pastries, cakes and pies which looked delicious but we were too full to try!! The service was exceptional! Definitely stop here!

02/06/2025: I was just getting nicotine products but the cashier was terrific, he was short probably under 5ft 5" and he had fluffy hair. Absolutely terrific service would recommend for anyone passing through

15/06/2025: French toast & hot chocolate delicious!! Really really nice, cafe was so clean too and the young waiter was really friendly. Very nice experience. Most of the menu looked appetizing so would come back to try more!

01/06/2025: big disappointment. I bought a few muffins today to take away. Oreo unfortunately below average, rubbery dough and poor taste. Very high prices inadequate to quality.

09/07/2025: Finally a reason to stop in Dunmanway! It may look like a pub but it's a lovely lunchroom with great pastries and coffee and an absolutely gorgeous garden.

03/06/2025: We were down for the weekend for Feel The Force festival as my partner was one of the characters. We brought our one year old son with us so to keep him occupied I'd take him for walks and lunch, and we ended up in Mirabelles every day. The seating outside was lovely for people watching in the shade, giving me a moment for a cup of tea and keeping my son occupied. The two ladies who served me every time (I forgot to get their names) were absolutely angels. They were so friendly and helpful, fantastic at their jobs and so lovely to my son. I had to go in and say a goodbye before we left because it was just such a lovely atmosphere. I cannot wait to come down and visit again. Thank you!
