29/04/2026: Popped down to visit a friend and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely Rohu's was! Excellent service, tasty sandwiches, great and expansive selection of drinks, plenty of local fare to purchase as well. It was honestly a treat to be there, had a lovely lunch and came away with some yummu local snacks! 10/10 recommend!

10/05/2026: One of the worst meals I have had in a long time , mix biryani had 2 pieces of chicken and the waiter asked for us to dig through to check and then started laughing.
Jalfrezi had no onions and peppers and again he started laughing and said a jalfrezi doesn’t have onions and peppers even though it states it on the menu.
The meat in all our dishes was dry and tasteless and overall a shocking experience.
07/05/2026: Utter waste and scammer. They gave us the old price menu card but they billed us with the new menu card price. We had a argument regarding that. After that, they have been deducted us 5 euros. Kindly maintain proper electronic bill. Since we hit new modern era but still you stuck with pencil paper bill which is below basic. thing for a restaraunt. One good thing is food is good but the quantity is too low.

The quality and finesse of the dishes were remarkable.
Cooking and flavors were perfectly executed.
The wine pairing was excellent value.
The dessert was outstanding, as was the mushroom and langoustine appetizer.
06/03/2026: The tasting menu was phenomenal. Every course was great, and several courses — a preserved strawberry sorbet with a pepper foam palate cleanser; a langoustine and caviar bite; an incredible rice pudding with rosemary sherbet dessert—were amongst the best dishes I’ve been served anywhere in Ireland. Service was warm and superb, and the space is cosy and charming. Very worth a journey to try it, the best and most interesting meal I’ve been served in Ireland in years.

31/05/2026: Stayed in Ahernes recently for 3 nights. We couldn’t be happier with the very friendly welcome from David and the team. The food was excellent catering for a coeliac without any issues. The home made bread was ‘the best ever’….. thanks Anne!, we left with the recipe! A super location for a relaxing break.

What a stunning, welcoming, top tier hotel and restaurant. The owners Woody and Anne are so warm and welcoming we felt right at home. We were so impressed my the restaurant the entire concept is so unique and the food was exceptional, credit to the chefs and staff onsite. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and we can’t wait to return next year 🫶🏼
15/04/2026: Came for a dinner with a group of 30 foodies.
The team was extremely welcoming and accommodating.
The beauty of the gardens and the dining rooms stunned everyone and the food was wonderful.
Buffet starters and buffet dessert were amazing showcasing a wide range of local products. Finally the cooking on the lamb and turbot were very delicate.
I can only hope to come back soon.

23/10/2025: We were over in Newmarket Motors collecting a new Xpeng G6 and ‘The Daily Grind’ was recommended as the place to go to for a good lunch. The great food was matched by the welcome and service making the whole experience. We can also recommend the carrot and fruit cakes both taken home 😀
In fairness the recommendation did come from James Moylan in Newmarket Motors and the cafe is owned by his mother. Overall collecting the car and the lunch capped off a great day trip from Dublin.

30/04/2026: There was a time when I loved going to Hillbilly's in Cork City after a night out.
The food was always tasty and at a reasonable price.I thought it would taste just as good here but there seems to have been a downgrade in the food quality.
Still enjoyed the gravy send chips,pity other chippers don't offer this on the menu.The service is good and it is in a nice location.
