24/07/2026: Great place to relax and have a drink. We perhaps made a wrong choice of Irish Coffee - not a fan, but don’t think that’s about this bar in particular. Having said that, great staff and service who went the extra mile to get us our order. Decent seating space inside and a patio outside where people relaxed. If you have a car, then you can park along the street. Definitely recommended.

06/05/2026: Kinsale started to fill in quick, so I decided to move on and swing back through Cobh to catch anything I might have missed the first time. The drive over was easy enough, but finding a spot near the water took some patience. Once I got settled, I ducked into The Mauretania, a small, no-frills pub that felt like it had been there forever. Ordered a Jameson with lime and ginger ale and took a seat. Simple drink, but it hit right, gave me a minute to reset and get my bearings before heading back out. Felt like the right call stepping away from the crowd and easing back into a slower pace.
