The Anchor Bar in Cobh

We discovered this wonderful pub during our Ireland road trip and what a fantastic find it was! The Anchor Bar is tucked away on a steep street, well off the beaten tourist path - which is exactly what makes it so special. This is where you experience authentic Irish pub atmosphere: cozy and rustic with beautiful maritime décor that perfectly suits Cobh. But the absolute highlight is the stunning view over the bay - simply breathtaking! The prices are very reasonable and the barkeeper (a genuine Liverpool fan) was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had wonderful conversations not only with him but also with the other locals - these are the moments that create the best travel memories. Anyone visiting Cobh who wants to experience an authentic Irish pub away from the tourist crowds should definitely stop by here. Highly recommended!
