16/07/2025: Great vibe in that pub, which seems very small from the outside, but is quite deep with several rooms in the back and also a nice beer garden. Great atmosphere with friendly people and the staff is very nice, though not numerous enough to handle the crowd.

23/06/2025: We had a rather mixed experience for dinner. When making the booking I had requested a table around 7pm but was told there was a big group coming in at that time and we could only be accommodated at 6pm. When we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant and when we left it was still very empty. We were seated in a section of the restaurant on our own which meant the atmosphere was unfortunately very lacking. The food was good but not fantastic in my opinion; the vegetables in particular were over cooked and mushy (courgettes and peppers) and the potatoes were just ok. There's beautiful fresh produce in West Cork, particularly in summer, and it was shame not to see this reflected on the plates. The fish and venison which we had were very nice. The location and grounds are beautiful.

22/08/2025: I arrived with high expectations and had recommendations. What I got was the complete opposite of this. The blonde woman waitress, from the get go had a bad attitude, she did not ask once how the food was (inedible). The steak was tough, overcooked and I had to ask for the chef to cut up the steak in the sandwich as it was impossible to bite. Furthermore, I mentioned the issue with my hardly-eaten meal, and they decided to discount a starter which I ACTUALLY enjoyed, instead of the main. As soon as another dinner guest questioned this and asked that the main be removed - the blonde waitress came back and SLAMMED the bill on the table. Frankly, as a first time visitor to this restaurant, I will never be going here again.

19/08/2025: This is one of the best places to eat in West Cork, the food is just the best, my son said the Chicken burger was the best he has had, the Chicken wings are probably the best in Cork. Don't get me started on the Roast beef it just melts in your mouth. Fish pie 10/10. If I could put just 1 Willie Pas in every county, Ireland would be a better place.

18/08/2025: Absolutely fantastic from the first call to when we checked in Sinead was out of this world that Girl needs a medal from running reception to check guest in to making sure we are enjoying our stay even the bar man was brilliant breakfast was out of this world even better than were we stay Friday night will definitely be back xxx
