The Garden Room in Clonakilty

Fabulous hotel with parking available right outside on our arrival! Lovely staff, wonderful room. Extremely comfortable with lots of lovely touches, wasn't expecting a gift upon check out! Wonderful location, close to town.

Great location. We were concerned about parking but there was no issues. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Bed was very cosy, slept well. Food was average. Nice touch giving a candle at checkout. Would stay again.

Glad to write in appreciation of a very enjoyable stay in this delightful Hotel. The warm welcome, personal attention and good food and service we were treated to in the tasteful interiors all combined to make our visit memorable and relaxed. Fantastic hotel, right in the middle of Clonakilty. Huge spacious rooms, lovely library areas to read in, very lovely friendly staff and the breakfast was great. All round, brilliant hotel.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but we stopped in for dinner. We ordered the chicken liver pâté with gluten free bread as a starter and the mild Madras curry with the €6 chicken add on. The pâté was nice but the gluten free bread was only toasted on one side. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the Madras curry. I found it much spicier than expected and wouldn’t describe it as mild. I also noticed there were only 4/5 small pieces of chicken in the dish. Considering the €6 surcharge for the chicken, I would have expected a more generous portion. The staff were very friendly and the girl we dealt with was lovely.

We did one night on a visit to Clonakilty for a wedding. We had our 5 week old with us. I should have booked a bigger room but we managed fine for the night. The staff are so lovely and friendly, helped us with our luggage. Breakfast was brought up to our room the next morning and also let us check out a little bit later as we had the baby with us and couldn't check into our next place til 2. Situated on a beautiful park, close to everything. Would definitely recommend.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! The food and drinks were great, and it was nice to have a pint in the afternoon next to a warm fire after a day of exploring the area. It’s an old-school hotel right across from Michael Collins’ house. Highly recommended.

If you're heading to Clonakilty, there's no better place to stay. Location, rooms, service. Everything spot on.

Excellent stay from arrival to departure. Great location and friendly welcome. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and a great choice and quality. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending the hotel and will be back again
