What a great fun pub that is full of Character. I had the full Irish breakfast and it was great value for money. It even offers free wifi and has a large screen for events. If in the area of getting of the boats and would like an authentic local taste of Ireland. I would highly recommend taken a little time out of your journey and visiting here. It has a great selection of food and beers, a little shop next to it and a large beer garden with plenty of seating. The staff are friendly, service is fast and it's great to see a pub still open in Cork like this with such fair prices and value.
Had lunch here on a very busy day, the place was filled with French (motor) bikers and so I wasn't expecting service to be so prompt.
Great atmosphere, good food and service...sad that this is the last pub in the village but hopefully it can keep going for many years yet!
Superb welcome… we hadn’t booked but our hosts managed to find us a good restaurant and treat us to a delicious meal before we took the ferry back to France.
18/09/2024: Good full Irish breakfast, very friendly service
09/09/2024: A good Irish welcome with lovely food and wonderful Irish hospitality.
We arrived for breakfast with our family and were promptly seated. The breakfast menu was varied as was the kids menu, be sure to check out the specials board.
Service was on point with smiles and banter from all three members of staff who we interacted with. All were attentive and made sure everything was ok. Table was also cleared up quickly so we didnt feel like once we had ordered that we were forgotton about as happens in other places.
Finally, it was lovely to see a small business with Irish staff. I have found so many businesses in Cork employing non-Irish staff and I feel that the warmth and humour that the Irish naturally have is missing in these venues.
I will definately be returning!
