25/11/2025: Very friendly staff and the service is fantastic

15/10/2025: All the staff are great and very helpful and there’s a great variety of products that we want.

11/01/2026: Food is always so fresh and delicious. Their scampi is worth travelling for as is all the fish. The roast dinners are always gorgeous and tender, and homemade. Then for lunch, the soups and paninis are delicious, especially with the homecooked ham in the toasted sambos.

23/09/2025: We arrived at night, when all the cats are gray, and although the room seemed expensive, well, oh well... In the morning, I moved the duvet and found a tissue stuck on it: Did we sleep on unchangeable sheets? The carpet, I think, was pissed off by the vacuum cleaner. Anyway, I'm giving it two stars for the breakfast, which wasn't bad. I don't recommend it.

02/04/2026: The food is lovely here. But the service was so bad we didn't go back for over a year, and we only live 10 minutes walk from the restaurant. The most recent visit was better than the previous three times. We were seated and then ignored as they served tables where people had arrived after us. But on a recent visit we were sat near the front of the restaurant and got served fairly fast. We've been eating out a lot more in Cork recently. But would prefer to eat locally if service gets better.

07/09/2025: The lobby on entering the hotel was fabulous. But as soon as we got to our room that’s where it ended. Bathroom was not clean, Stains around the bin on the floor, problem with the hose for the shower, kept popping off the shower head, silicone around shower base has mould on it. At €277 a night I thought we would have a mini fridge or cooler in the room but we didn’t.

20/01/2026: I gave it one star because the restaurant was closed when I arrived. I think it's the least they could do to update their opening hours. Unacceptable, especially considering the long drive. Avoid at all costs.

06/01/2026: This is a great place! Very friendly and welcoming. Amazing chowder and a nice beer selection. The service is friendly and costumer oriented. The food was served quickly and was very delicious. We enjoyed our stay.

10/11/2025: Had a lovely and intimate wedding in the Seaview House Hotel. Ronan and Lidia were so helpful during the build up to the wedding and the whole team were absolutely flawless on the day. 10/10 would strongly recommend for a special intimate wedding or just for a weekend get away. The hotel, grounds and food are stunning.

13/08/2025: I had the opportunity to stop in during my late travels at the Seaview House Hotel & Spa, on Oct 16, 2019. I would call it a manor rather than a house, with its beautiful gardens and historically themed interior. Not far from the property, you can take a walk along the shoreline and take in panoramic views unlike any you've seen before. I was fortunate they had availability, as I arrived late that night, but the accommodations were no less than expected. The following morning, I had a chance to dine in the breakfast hall and enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast. I had the company of other guests, one of whom stood out a young woman with her daughter sitting at the table next to mine. Her daughter was like a young duckling, full of life, so to speak. The hotel itself, along with its staff, went far beyond expectations. I would have loved to stay longer, but I needed to attend to my business endeavours. If you're looking for a quiet, family-oriented spa retreat, there's nothing quite like stopping in at the Seaview House Hotel & Spa a true country inn, if you will for anyone in need of relaxation.

From the moment you arrive, you step into an atmosphere where time seems to pause. The crackling fire and the grand chandelier at the center of the room create a setting that feels like another world, one you are fortunate enough to discover for the length of an evening. The welcome is impeccable, the cocktail list is rich and varied and every detail is chosen with taste and elegance. The buffet of starters is full of different tastes to enjoy, the main courses strike a perfect balance between creativity and local flavors, and the dessert buffet is the perfect sweet finale to a remarkable meal. The cocktails designed to accompany the desserts are nothing short of exceptional. Blairscove is a place not to be missed if you want to experience a magical escape, whether during a visit to West Cork or while planning a journey through Ireland.

18/07/2025: A Hidden Gem for Vegans in West Cork We stopped into Blair’s Cove yesterday without a booking, and were so grateful they managed to fit us in. From the very start, the whole experience felt special. The staff were incredibly professional but also warm and relaxed. Everything flowed so smoothly—it was like watching a beautifully choreographed dance. As a vegan, eating out while on holiday in places like West Cork can be stressful. It often feels like vegans are overlooked completely, or given something bland as an afterthought. But Blair’s Cove was the total opposite. They really took care, and I felt genuinely included. The vegan food was not just “good for a vegan option”—it was full-on delicious, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in the area. The live piano music was another lovely touch—just the right level and beautifully played. It gave the whole evening an elegant, laid-back vibe that made us want to stay all night. As a vegan chef, I make a point of trying other local spots even when the vegan choices are limited—but this was on another level. Blair’s Cove showed that it’s absolutely possible to cater for everyone with style and flavour. If you’re plant-based (or dining with someone who is), don’t hesitate. This place gets it right. 14/03/2026: Ideal stop on the way to Cork. Food was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect as we were able to get straight back on the motorway after.

31/12/2025: So pleased with this gem on Main Street on the Waterford side of Youghal. Just before Christmas after peak lunch hour, we went for a taste of what Red Store had to offer. We were not disappointed. Two of our party had the pork (one of the specials), one Thai chicken curry and one had the 6oz steak. Food came out piping, and was just poetry on a plate. Desserts of jelly and ice cream, warm apple pie and strawberry cheesecake followed. Pork was succulent but where was the apple sauce (small over sight) and the well done steak was a ‘good tender enjoyable chew’ but missed the onions. Thai chicken curry had a tickle of spice and just right fit portion of rice. The hot Apple pie with ice cream had a perfect measured level of sweetness and softness ( no tough crust). Strawberry cheesecake was not served as a slice but in a wine goblet with dust crumbled biscuit for base and a very strawberry moussy top that was peaked with faux cream. Service was friendly and there was a lovely casual atmosphere to the place with conversation at normal decibel level being feasible. At time of visit / local artist Pauline Neville’s works were on display and her nearby art gallery is very much worth a visit. Great showing!!

14/03/2026: Lovely breakfast but one poor woman was taking the orders, delivering the breakfast, doing teas/coffees, taking payment and dealing with the bar!! That's atrocious!

01/11/2025: Firstly, a huge thank you to Brendan. My return from last year for 3 wonderful nights and plan to return next year. Supremely clean and comfortable rooms. A cozy traditional pub lies below rooms. A few minute walk into Midelton town centre. A 3 minute walk to train station which will have you into Cork City Centre in 22 minutes. Thanks to a terrific staff and the friendly locals who frequent this gem of a pub.

19/09/2025: What a place, super clean bed & breakfast with a friendly well run bar downstairs. Brendan the owner is a super nice guy. We had some great chats. The breakfast was very generous, lots of local produce on the menu, rashers & sausages etc. The bar stocks Blacks Beer & the best selection of Stonewell Ciders I've seen in a bar that size. Also the obligatory locally produced Midleton Whiskey
