Will definitely be back
15/08/2025: Popped into The Quay as wanted to get the feel of a traditional Irish pub. The wooden beams and space was nice. The staff smiling and polite always asking if everything was ok. Tried a guiness from the motherland and omg thousand times better than the stuff I'm served in London. Ordered a sea food chowder. My taste buds where dancing, the chowder was heart warming and the fish was amazing. Thank you Quay Bar and thankyou team for being best in class your hospitality was noted.

10/07/2025: Always lovely food - big portions, nice variety menu and friendly staff. No complaints, we stop here whenever we’re passing and always satisfied leaving.
Lovely restaurant - would recommend, especially if you don’t want to go into Macroom for a meal. Very reasonable price, and big portions.

19/08/2025: We ate at the restaurant, there was no problem finding a place without prior reservation. They were very friendly. The price was a little higher than the rest, but still affordable. The food was delicious and plentiful. They have a children's menu. The place is clean and centrally located. Highly recommended!

19/08/2025: Family restaurant with daily specials handwritten on a white board – always a good sign. The food was freshly cooked and great value for money. The roast beef was really tender, recommended. Kind notice for non-locals: this place does not serve alcohol or fancy drinks. It's just tea, coffee, orange juice and probably Coke/Fanta.
10/08/2025: Excellent home-cooked food, simple but good and authentic. A restaurant that focuses on substance, not appearances. That's a good thing. They don't have beer (I don't know if they have wine because I don't drink it). Unfortunately, the owner/waiter wasn't as welcoming as almost all the Irish people we encountered. He was brusque and sometimes annoyed, for some reason. Anyway, everyone has bad days, and if I were to pass by again, I'd definitely stop and eat there again.
