Rolf's in Baltimore

We were warmly welcomed and greeted. We spent a week at Rolf's Countryhouse and felt completely at home. The room was lovely and equipped with everything we needed. The property is very quiet, so there was absolutely no noise – pure relaxation. Breakfast was perfect. Dinner was also fantastic. In short: we will definitely come back again. Our favourite restaurant in West Cork!

We spent two nights here recently and really enjoyed it. Got a lovely welcome (and a v nice welcome drink) upon arrival and the great hospitality continued throughout our stay. Room was nice and bed really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too. Setting lovely-garden is beautiful. Would highly recommend for anyone planning on a trip to Baltimore.

We stayed in a cottage at Rolf’s for a week and it was lovely. Plenty of room, nice kitchen, and the grounds stunning. The restaurant is excellent and Friederike was super helpful. Would definitively recommend it to anyone.

Just returned from a lovely week's stay at Rolf's. Our room was immaculately clean with a really comfy bed on the upper floor.The owners are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble, happy to recommend potential places that are well worth visiting. There is ample safe parking at the property surrounded by their lovely gardens.The breakfast menu has plenty of choice including a 'continental tower' and we dined there on our first evening and had a lovely meal.Disappointed the Black Forest Dessert wasn't available (as a larger number of guests needed to consume it in a day) and likely to be taken off the menu.I might add we were not travelling during peak season so not fully booked. A great place to stay and use as a base with numerous places to visit within an easy drive and absolutely stunning views to see en route.

Rolf’s Country House in Baltimore, West Cork, is one of those rare places that instantly makes you exhale. From the moment we arrive, it feels less like going out for a meal and more like stepping into a gentle, restorative holiday. The atmosphere is truly special, warm, unhurried, and deeply welcoming. There is a quiet confidence in the way everything is done, and that extends beautifully into the service, which is attentive without ever being intrusive. We always feel genuinely cared for. As a family who values thoughtful food, we especially appreciate how effortlessly they cater for both vegetarians and vegans. It never feels like an afterthought. There is real creativity and generosity in what is offered. As a family business ourselves, we also deeply appreciate the way Rolf’s is run across generations. There is something very special and authentic in that continuity, and it can be felt in every detail. We already love coming here together, and we look forward to many more visits. At the same time, we can easily imagine slipping away into the garden with a book and perhaps ordering a cocktail, simply enjoying the peace of it all. The garden itself is beautifully curated, a place that invites you to linger and slow down. It adds another layer of calm and beauty to the whole experience. We also have to mention the bathrooms, so unique and so thoughtfully designed that even that small detail becomes part of the overall sense of relaxation. It is the kind of place where, even after a spa day somewhere else, you somehow feel even more at ease just by being there. Rolf’s is more than a destination.
