The best restaurants in Cork

19/08/2025: We had lunch with three people. Despite it being busy, the service was good and fast. Plenty of vegetarian options. The goat cheese crêpe was okay. It was more of a pancake than a crepe due to its thickness. Don't expect anything fancy here, but a good lunch. A great stopover.

09/08/2025: Great spot for breakfast. Lovely menu, parking in the adjacent shopping centre!

27/08/2025: Read the reviews and that's why we came here. Poor service in my opinion. The waiting staff not particularly bothered. My gin and tonic came in ?? Polycarbonate smirnoff cocktail glass. Bar tender swore it was glass. It was definitely not!!!! Very disappointed. Husbands Pesto penne pasta very tasty but came with chips ( who does that) My chicken salad very tasty and I asked for dressing on the side which was how it was delivered. On the whole would not recommend and not return

03/08/2025: Lovely & friendly restaurant. Visited on a Bank holiday Sunday morning. It’s was busy, the young male staff member was full of chat, took the order as requested and food arrived with in a few minutes . Will call again for breakfast when passing through Mitchelstown. Food was also very nice.

30/05/2025: Visited with my 7 month old daughter, my mom and 18 month old nephew. The attention to detail and service with small children was outstanding. Felt very welcome and will most definitely be back.

26/03/2025: The breakfast muffin is second to none, excellent ingredients and delicious bun. Had it both for takeaway (as Saturday/Sunday it gets mad busy inside, not much ventilation going on also with the cooking) and inside with their Malteser or Baileys cheesecake, which is excellent too. Not easy to fit more than 5/6 people at brunch time, better to take away and eat in the park by the river if weather allows.

25/08/2025: Connolly's of Leap is an amazing family run pub and live music venue. An historical gem which is full of atmosphere. Inside there is a superb intimate music venue with a small balcony/mezzanine either side. In the garden is a beautiful unique stage, crafted in timber by a local artisan, with a good built-in sound system. The proprieters, siblings Sam & Mary, strive to keep this iconic little music venue thriving, They looked after us really well. All staff and crew are friendly and welcoming. We tried a few delicious wood-fired Pizzas, which were very tasty, in a word exceptional. I have travelled the length and breadth of Ireland over the last 40 years, visiting literally hundreds of pubs and live music venues in every county and this is one of the very best. My single regret is that I didn't discover it much earlier. Despite it being over a 4 hour drive from home we will definitely return.

25/07/2025: Lovely small restaurant situated on the edge of the bay. Food is varied and delicious. Prices are reasonable with very friendly and pleasant staff

11/07/2025: I have eaten here many times and have always found the food, the atmosphere and particularly the staff very good. On this occasion, the staff as always were lovely but I was extremely disappointed with the choice of dishes for coeliacs/ gluten intolerant diners. I decided to opt for seafood chowder as my main course as there were no gf seafood options for main course and the chips are not gluten free. The chowder was ok, but what was so disappointing was what was clearly basic shop-bought bread served with the chowder. The gf sliced pan was toasted. A real own goal for a restaurant that sells itself as a Seafood restaurant and charges above average prices. I chose roulade for dessert which was quite good, but did not make up for the well below average starter that I had to choose as a main course.

10/07/2025: The food is as beautiful as you could hope for, I had an Indian curry, but I was afraid it might be to hot, and the server said I could try it, and if it was, she would get me something to add, but it was lovely, and we had dessert and coffees, and they were lovely as well, definitely will call back sometime.

20/08/2025: Enjoyed a couple of tasty stouts here. Staff and locals (and their pets) were sound out. Lovely ambience to the place with people sitting outside the bar drinking and chatting. Bit of age to the place which gives it an authentic feel. The gallery upstairs is a nice touch and worth seeing. Much bigger premises than appears from the front with plenty of room out back.
