09/06/2025: Stunning pub with great food and staff.We had 4 nights in bantry and ate here for 3 of those nights as it was so good especially on a Friday when you can get fish and chips wrapped up in newspaper,just how it should be in my opinion and I had a Cajun chicken burger on another night which again was fantastic.Great crack,food and staff made it perfect.if in bantry definitely check out this pub

27/06/2025: This was my first time staying at The Bosun Hotel, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. The hotel is very well located, offering a lovely view, and it’s beautifully decorated with a clear emphasis on cleanliness. You can tell the team puts a lot of effort and energy into maintaining high standards, with great attention to detail throughout. One of my initial concerns was the fact that the hotel is right next to a bar and restaurant, both part of the same property. I was unsure whether this might affect the peace and quiet of the accommodation. The entrance to the hotel is completely independent, and there was no noise disturbance at all during my stay. In fact, the bar was quite busy on a Thursday afternoon, which seemed like a good sign of the quality and popularity of the place. The room itself was immaculate, spotless and well-equipped with everything you might need, including a coffee set. The decor is tasteful and elegant, and every corner of the place reflects care and pride in presentation. Do note that the hotel has four stories, with a lift reaching only up to the third floor, you’ll need to take stairs to access the top floor. Also, you may need to check in by speaking to a staff member in the bar if no one is at the accommodation entrance when you arrive. Breakfast was excellent, served at a convenient time with friendly and attentive service. The staff appeared genuinely motivated and happy in their roles, which is refreshing to see in the hospitality industry. If you’re planning to explore the surrounding area or visit the busier parts of town, it’s a good idea to have your own transport, though there seem to be buses running frequently nearby. All in all, a great stay. Highly recommended!

14/05/2025: Lovely place to eat, we are quite local (20min) drive. Without a doubt the best value place to eat within miles and miles. Great quality and great size portions. Highly recommend.

21/01/2025: Very small Pub. We stoped in to use the bathroom and get a coffee. They only serve drinks. The Bar tender was extremely friendly and told us where to get some food and coffee. The bathroom was VERY CLEAN.

10/07/2025: First time I have been asked to leave a review by a staff member, and you know what, I love the confidence. Food is incredible, with this place being so popular, you are always getting the freshest possible ingredients as they sell so fast and they need to keep topping up. Everything from the rice to the lime juice, prepared in store. Staff are extremely friendly and well trained, sometimes I even wonder if they are trained in conversation with customers as I always seem to walk away from the till with a smile on my face. I have also noticed that they change gloves between each customer, which proves the level of cleanliness and quality within the kitchen. I have experienced the burritos from each staff member and I have to say, the consistency is unbelievable. Either the manager has hit the jackpot with staff or learned how to correctly manage people ( a very rare skill these days ). Great job guys I have been blown away, see you tomorrow!

10/07/2025: The food is as beautiful as you could hope for, I had an Indian curry, but I was afraid it might be to hot, and the server said I could try it, and if it was, she would get me something to add, but it was lovely, and we had dessert and coffees, and they were lovely as well, definitely will call back sometime.

28/06/2025: Food was OK but a bit pricey. Staff was great. They lost Michelin's recommendation for a reason.

18/06/2025: Amazing experience. The monkfish was like two huge chunks of lobster meat. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my wife’s lactose intolerance.

18/05/2025: We feel very lucky to have managed to get in to this little gem of a restaurant on our last night in Ireland. A short menu of freshly made dishes. Great! All options were imaginative, packed with flavour and beautifully presented. Portions were a perfect size - not too big. We cleared our plates at each course - no waste and we were replete. And to accompany the lovely food, we enjoyed a bottle of reasonably priced French vermentino, which we have taken details of and hope to find again. We finished with a small glass of the ‘sticky’ of our choice wi the our deserts. Staff were all charming. We loved this place. Get there if you can.

27/06/2025: The service was horrible at the cashier when I was served by a young man about 4 months ago and I never went back to eat at that place with my family.

10/07/2025: The food is lovely here. But the service is so bad we haven't gone back. The last three times we tried we were seated and then ignored as they served tables where people had arrived after us. Luckily Mallow has a great selection of other places to spend your money when eating out.

08/07/2025: Great Italian place, the pizza is always wonderful when we come here. I recommend trying the Garlic Mushrooms as a starter too. As for the other mains I couldn't tell you because I always end up having the pizza here!
