Delicious food! I ordered a goat's cheese foccacia and a tropical smoothie, and my brother got a Tricolour salad and a Capri Sun. We paid slightly more than 15 euro for each of our dishes, 5 for the smoothie and 1.75 for the Capri sun. The goat's cheese was very strong - I enjoyed it a lot! We got served in about 20 minutes from ordering, which is quite good for a lunch rush order. It wasn't very busy, but there were a decent number of other people eating there as well.

Really enjoyed a recent visit to Cracked for coffee and dessert. The atmosphere was lively in this busy Bandon Bistro, the service was superb and I loved the presentation of my dessert , amazing attention to detail and it tasted delicious too ! Highly recommend !

Great food and friendly service! We especially loved that it’s truly pet-friendly. Our Golden Retriever, Snow, was welcome inside the restaurant with us, which made our experience even better. We’ll definitely be back! 🐾

Fabulous food, the manager is great as well stopped in for a late lunch and had a great chicken bacon sandwich keep us going for the rest of the day

The foods were nice. But the services is weird..... I have to ask for water while others could have it without asking. my starter and main came together... so I ended up need to eat cold main dish...

15/08/2026: Nice food, but I found it a bit expensive and the portion size wasn’t exactly huge. 5euro for a pint of water is like something you’d see in Italy or France. Friendly staff.
11/08/2026: I visited early August with my husband, our toddler and my mother-in-law, and I’m so glad we decided to give it another try after not having been in years. I ordered the roast special of the day, which was lamb shank, and it was a huge portion! I struggled to finish it, but it was absolutely delicious. The gravy in particular was divine, and I always think you can tell a lot about a restaurant by its gravy 😂. This one definitely passed my test! The others had fish and chips, which I of course had to sample too, and they were very tasty. The service was quick and friendly, and I really liked the atmosphere. It’s a lovely, smaller restaurant, and the noise levels were low enough that we could comfortably enjoy a conversation while eating, which is always a bonus when dining with family. Overall, we were really happy with our meal and the experience. I’d absolutely recommend Bayleaf Bistro and would happily return.

09/10/2026: Popped into Jake’s Cakes for breakfast with my wife and really enjoyed it. Apparently under new ownership, and it feels like they’ve struck a great balance between the old-school restaurant vibes and a refreshed, updated menu. The food was good, the coffee was excellent, and the value for money was really impressive. The staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming, which always makes a difference. They’ve also got a bakery next door with a huge selection of pastries. We couldn’t resist picking up a few for our mate Dylan to celebrate his recent 5-year workaversary! 🥐 All in all, a great spot for a relaxed breakfast, good coffee and a few treats to take away. Looking forward to coming back and seeing how things develop under the new ownership!
22/08/2026: I’ve been to Jakes for breakfast quite a few times and I’m always happy to go for their fry-up, which is consistently good. On my most recent visit, though, I decided to try something different because of their summer breakfast specials. I’m not usually a huge fan of avocado and eggs on toast, but for €10 including tea or coffee, I thought I’d give it a go. I’m so glad I did because this was by far the tastiest version of avocado and eggs on toast I’ve had so far! The combination of the creamy avocado, eggs, feta and roasted tomatoes was absolutely delicious, and it was really nicely presented too. It’s not something I would normally choose, but I would 100% order this again. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good-value breakfast in Bandon.
