we visited here recently as part of the South of Ireland band championships and played outside the premises. a special mention and thank you to the owner for her help and kind words! Visited the pub later in the evening and it was a great spot, everyone so friendly and music was excellent! thanks all!

I had lived and worked near clonaikilty , 1983, a most enjoyable experience, was going to Shanleys , play along with Moss and other people. I especially enjoyed the sea fishing trips. I send you all my very best regards William Howe

Brought all my family & friends here after my wedding & it was an amazing pub, the staff look after you so well. Great pints, great music, great service, what more can you ask for.

03/12/2025: One of the best breakfasts I've had! Were going back today on our way back from cork airport!
24/10/2025: We've been to berts about 5 times now and every time It is just the best experience. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the restaurant is lovely and clean and the food is honestly some of the nicest we have ever had, every time we come here. We traveled over an hour from the city today and it's always worth the journey!
