The best restaurants in Cork

20/06/2026: My wife and I had an excellent vegetarian meal here tonight, Indian inspired but different from any Indian food I have had before, from locally sourced ingredients. The courses were flavorful and varied, filling but not overwhelming. The paneer in a corgette blossom and the chocolate dessert were highlights. The wine recommended by our sommelier was very good too, and we felt well cared for by the staff.

15/06/2026: Michelin star quality, excellent service, unique food. This restaurant is one of a kind, combining Irish produce, Indian flare and French methodology. I've traveled extensively in France and India, and this experience really combines the best of both. The staff were very attentive but not overly formal. The food was exquisitely balanced and not overpowered with spices. The setting was calm and relaxing, with a great view into the kitchen behind glass. A perfect start to a wonderful evening in Kinsale.

31/12/2025: Quick purchase on the way to the bus. Ate when arrived in Cork. Bun tasted like it was from a "too good to go" but without the discount. Sausage roll much better, however expected more taste for the price.

03/07/2026: We spontaneously decided to have dinner here without a reservation. The restaurant seemed quite full, and we only got a table outside. We ordered the chicken tikka, the fish curry, the salmon, and the catch of the day (hake). After ordering, the staff ignored us. It was very windy and getting colder and colder. Our food arrived over an hour later, after we had to ask the staff about it. The portions were rather small. The food tasted fine, but the mashed potatoes and vegetables were already cold. We didn't want to send them back, though, as we were so hungry by then. Only after we had finished eating were we finally asked if everything was alright, and our mood had plummeted. The service seemed overwhelmed the whole time and wasn't particularly friendly or attentive. We wouldn't recommend it.

24/05/2026: We had a very delicious dinner today at your restaurant. Incredibly tender fish, with a wonderful sauce, steamed broccoli and lightly crusted potatoes. I recommend it! The waiters are very pleasant, and the presentation of the dishes meets high standards. Thank you!

10/05/2026: Well what can I say,first of all we were greeted at the door very warmly,our server Danny was brilliant, made good recommendations a good crack but also professional in his job,starters had great presentation and flavours popped in your mouth,Main course again couldn't fault it,and dessert ,well,main course beat all but me,I had one,couldn't resist. Would highly recommend this establishment, booking though is a must..

15/07/2026: So, if you're looking to order a vegan burger here, I can only recommend driving somewhere else. The burger was an unseasoned falafel patty with very little lettuce. A single leaf and a tomato adorned the plate. The waitresses were friendly, but we even had to ask for ketchup. The halloumi burger was significantly better. It's a shame there weren't any better vegan options. That was a real disappointment. There wasn't even any vegan mayonnaise offered with the fries. So, I wouldn't recommend this place for vegans. :( At around €17.50 per burger, it's quite expensive. We wondered why we were paying so much.

04/05/2026: Expert bakers of international delicacies! The bakery imports flour and butter from France, Germany, Italy, etc. to produce authentic tasting bread and pastries. Top marks for getting their efforts right. Clonakilty is lucky to have the Baking Emporium!

27/04/2026: Just dropped in with my nearly 13year old nephew for a bite and a chat, pizza was delicious and plenty but not too much, freshly made from scratch and quiet but looks like it is a popular spot

18/05/2026: Ordered mostly seafoods on our lunch and it was deliciously amazing!! Probably one of the oldest resto pubs in tbe area! The fish taco and seafood chowder stood out from our orders.

02/04/2026: Five stars well deserved, excellent food and super friendly staff, most important they are listening customers. Must try best sausage rolls in town, and chicken chorizo toasted sandwich it should be awarded to the sandwich of the year.

09/03/2026: Wow. I wish Dublin had more sandwich shops of this calibre. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich, but toasted, even though they say it’s best eaten cold. It was sensational! The bread was light and crunchy, with a beautiful texture. The filling was melted, a bit creamy, so delicious, and warm all the way through. It was generously portioned but not overly large. They obviously really care about their sandwiches and the quality of their ingredients. It was a minor triumph. The other sandwiches, with melted cheese, beef, etc., also looked so tasty. The staff were lovely too, and all for about 8 euro! Bargain! Great job, guys. Bravo!

03/06/2026: Just back from a lovely weekend at the Carrigaline Court. The hotel was in a great location for visiting Fota Wildlife Park. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, and the food was excellent throughout our stay. Breakfast buffet was very good, with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay again.

26/05/2026: A lovely hotel in Carrigaline, with bus links to Cork City and Ringaskiddy NMCI. Church opposite and a short walk to local pubs and shops. Very nice and clean hotel with friendly local staff. Will definitely stay here again.
