The Grey Hound is my favorite bar in Kinsale. The first words I would use to describe it are: small, authentic, weathered. I don’t know if they serve food, but I would likely stick to drinks here. This is bar that most men would appreciate as both simple and reliable.

By far the best pub I've visited in Ireland. From the candles on the tables and coal burning fireplace to Ross telling jokes all night. Simply a wonderful experience. Grab yourself a whiskey and find a seat in the corner and enjoy your evening.

Place was hopping. If you want a pint away from sky sports and ole ole football and atmosphere, and guaranteed fire, candles, snugs and a proper Irish shebeen feel, this is it.

Trident Hotel Kinsale

06/06/2026: I had dinner here recently and it was delicious. Staff are very friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about their gluten free options. Most of the menu could be adapted for gluten free. Staff were also very aware of cross contamination. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.
20/05/2026: It was recommended for its food! But both breakfast and diner where below standard. Waiter seemed kind but inexperienced. Location is good.

29/06/2026: Great coffee, tasty home-made treats and cute merch!! I bought myself a mug & sticker here and my friend bought some beaded bracelets. New favourite coffee shop!
19/06/2026: I discovered it quite by chance, but I'm all the more delighted. A fantastic shop with a lovely café and matcha. They also have great modern items to buy. A visit is definitely worthwhile!
