Fantastic, unpretentious restaurant with great staff and generous portions. Everything we had was fresh and excellently seasoned. The smash burger was one of the best I have had in months.

Two memorable dinners during our Irish road trip. I want to emphasize the quality and level of service we received from the owner of this restaurant. Without going into the somewhat farcical details of that evening (unreachable phone number, meals served after closing time), suffice it to say that we were not just 'customers' that night. Thank you for your kindness and genuine hospitality.

Everything about this mom and pop is incredible. It’s been family owned for 3 generations. The father has all of his 4 kids working there now, the son who’s the chef is the new boss. The food was some of the best I’ve had so far in Ireland

We ate here on Sunday 31st May as a party of 4 with no booking service was second to none, proprietor greeted every table personally the staff were busy attentive and friendly Food was delicious from start to finish and the desserts if you thought of it from jelly and ice cream, to bread and butter pudding trifle rhubarb crumble sticky toffee pudding they had it, delicious 😋 highly recommend and we will be back

07/06/2026: I was in sugrues multiple times last week and during my trip to west cork, it is a lovely small little restaurant. The food is gorgeous, and the staff are brilliant. All the fish and meat are fresh from the local fisheries and butchers. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out if you are in castletownbere.

Lynch's on the Pier

19/04/2026: We had the room with sea view. There is a charger for EV nearby and plenty of parking in front which is part of the port. The place is perfect for us. Since we checked in on Saturday afternoon and their restaurant is closed on Sundays, they provided us some scones with butter and jam upon arrival. There were cookies too. The room was spacious, warm, and clean. Just note that you might hear the neighbouring room. Smooth stay and right at the heart of the town.
26/02/2026: was great we booked on the road on the fly, rather than booking.com, lady was nice and rather than booking via the website we went straight through the business itself as we saved 10 euro and breakfast was includedbefore 125 off peak one night deluxe room I think it was.. we were happy and stayed there but in the morning we were told breakfast wasn't included was room only that was the only thing came back on us but staff are all lovely and food was great!
