28/02/2025: Ordered Fish and Chips and Pizza, Pizza fairly good, Fish cooked nice, good size portion but very bland batter, no flavour, Chips not great, very bland, no flavour, Overall not great, Wouldn't recommend, won't go back

17/11/2024: In a week in cobh I tried the entire menu of Sorrento fish & chips, there is no comparison with the other fish & chips, totally on another level both for cleanliness and for quality... Very kind staff and always available to satisfy every request

23/11/2024: Had a sirloin steak and chips. Really poorly presented on the plate. Steak was not of good quality. The chips were raw in the middle. Was like trying to eat rubber. Brought it to the waitresses attention as I didn’t eat them. She took the plate and went to the kitchen and never came back with a reply. Charged for the full meal and no apology. Hence I’m guessing the reason why the place was empty on a Saturday night. Poor show. Not good enough.

23/10/2024: Really nice food, unpretentious and very tastefully put together. The fish and veggie dishes we tried were very nice and the desert too. Would highly recommend.

25/03/2025: We stopped in for a bowl of Soup on the way home after a day out! The brown bread was so fresh and really tasty, the soup was potato and Leek however it was a little watery and not a strong taste of leek. At €7 it was good for the bread alone!

26/08/2024: Great family bar over 100 years going triving busisness , brilliant local bar and atmosphere the land lady was lovely and her son came to take the. next few hours hope she had a great party i passed manny times but this time loved the pints after a great night out n berrings .

22/02/2025: This coffee was seriously disappointing. The flavor was weak and bland, nothing like what I expected. Honestly, it tasted a bit stale, almost like it had been sitting around for too long. I'm usually not picky about my coffee, but this one just wasn't good. Definitely won't be buying this again.

15/04/2025: Super hotel for all age groups. Efficient extremely friendly staff who went beyond the call of duty to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Rooms excellent. We didn't visit the pool, etc but we could see it was being fully utilised by the other guests

11/04/2025: As I am disabled, I asked for a ground floor room and my expectations were far out past when we were given a lovely room with disabled facilities. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful and the food was good. A lovely place to stay. I would recommend it to anybody.

02/12/2024: We are a group of friends who regularly meet for breakfast on Sunday morning. Our go-to place used to be Thairish until the owner threw a wobbly one morning. There was approximately 20 of us and to keep us together we moved a number of tables together. The waiting staff had no problem with this and were happy with all of us sitting together. This went on, religiously, for about 6 months. One Sunday the owner approached us in a very rude and aggressive manner saying that we weren’t allowed to move tables together and we weren’t welcome any more. One of our group stood up to the owner and castigated him for publicly embarrassing all of us. The owner retreated into the kitchen. Upon finishing our breakfast we stood up to leave. The waiting staff came over to us to apologise for the situation caused by the owner. Within 30 seconds the owner came over again and ordered the staff away from us. The owner went outside and sat at one of the outside tables. Upon exiting the restaurant the owner passed a disparaging remark to one of our group as we were passing. This remark didn’t go unnoticed and again we confronted the owner. He attempted to rise from his seat however he was advised that if he did it would be taken as an act of aggression. He promptly sat back down again. If there was a problem with the tables being moved then he should have said it to us in a private conversation and not so that everyone else in the restaurant could hear. Unfortunately we will not be returning to Thairish again.

06/03/2025: The owners, Lindsay and Lester, could not have possibly made us more welcome. Their hospitality was exceptional. The food was great and had the best Guinness I’ve ever tasted. Cannot wait to visit again

09/02/2025: Guinness the cream 5.40 pint Fish and chips were good. A few more chips have been nice. Toilets emaculate Two pool tables with nice village type atmosphere going on there.👌 😎 Good pub.

07/04/2025: Amazing place to have dinner or even just a coffee, with beautiful views and lovely, friendly staff like Pilar and Vicente. They looked after us very well the whole time we were there. I definitely recommend visiting this lovely location. Really tasty dessert by the way.

15/03/2025: Tried to use the dial in service rang twice and was put on hold for 5 minutes each time. During this time I could overhear staff and customer conversations. Might be better if you attend in person but there is the potential for your conversation to be overheard. So choose your words and who you talk about wisely.

02/02/2025: Food actually wasn’t bad, the lady at front of house was. Ordered our food and 2 cans of coke which were out of date with a month, when I told the lady that I am pregnant and she sold them which were out of date she goes sorry do you want another one- didn’t seem genuine pretended like she didn’t know they were gone off and still didn’t take them out of the fridge! Won’t be the last they’re hearing from me if I get sick… careful lads what else is out of date in there… turned me off going back

08/02/2025: Nice and friendly atmosphere, and usually the food is on point but today I ordered a BLT and the bacon wasn't close to being cooked. So, very disappointing but the chips were good. Nice and crispy on the outside, tender and fluffy on the inside.

19/01/2025: Came to Cascada last night for my birthday dinner. We had a wonderful time! Everything from the service, the food and the atmosphere was just perfect. Our waitress went out of her way to make a special 007 drink for my brother who was delighted! Thanks again!
