10/09/2025: Friendly local pub on our quick stop travelling through West Cork 😄

09/07/2025: Went here when we were visiting the area a few weeks ago. Had a nice night chatting with some local folks who were very friendly. Bar staff was great too, and pints were perfect. Had a killer homemade pizza with a selection of meats & apple jam...delicious! Would definitely recommend this spot!

13/08/2025: I had the opportunity to stop in during my late travels at the Seaview House Hotel & Spa, on Oct 16, 2019. I would call it a manor rather than a house, with its beautiful gardens and historically themed interior. Not far from the property, you can take a walk along the shoreline and take in panoramic views unlike any you've seen before. I was fortunate they had availability, as I arrived late that night, but the accommodations were no less than expected. The following morning, I had a chance to dine in the breakfast hall and enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast. I had the company of other guests, one of whom stood out a young woman with her daughter sitting at the table next to mine. Her daughter was like a young duckling, full of life, so to speak. The hotel itself, along with its staff, went far beyond expectations. I would have loved to stay longer, but I needed to attend to my business endeavours. If you're looking for a quiet, family-oriented spa retreat, there's nothing quite like stopping in at the Seaview House Hotel & Spa a true country inn, if you will for anyone in need of relaxation.

10/08/2025: The place is magnificent. A beautiful residence in a sumptuous park. The rooms are large with a beautiful view. The bedding is comfortable. The dinner is quality, as is the breakfast. The service is impeccable and so attentive.

25/10/2025: A great discovery, a friendly pub with friendly staff. Fast service with quality dishes (I recommend the beef pie, it's wonderful!). Very good value for money. A great time spent, thank you to the team!

04/09/2025: We visited for a coffee and snack and left two coffees later as they were so good. The oaty slice is highly recommended (we had two of those also).

25/08/2025: I had a sourdough chorizzo toastie and a chai latte. It was delicious. The service was friendly and the ambiance very pleasant.

13/09/2025: Distinctly average Chinese food. Kung po wasn’t remotely spicy, the vegetable chowmein was lacking noodles and flavour, and the sweet and sour dish seemed full of red food colouring. The prices were steep at around €18 per main. The service was fast, and the atmosphere and decoration was pleasant. I wouldn’t return or recommend it to people that like authentic Chinese food.

08/06/2025: Group of 6 of us dined here - food perfect for all and large portions. Black bean and kung po nice in particular. Service good and quick.. losing a star due to lack of an atmosphere, very quiet on the night, and no draught available.

31/10/2025: A superb townhouse and restaurant, with excellent service from all staff members and beautiful food. Even though I am coeliac and lactose intolerant, there was no problem meeting my needs (a rare event!) The whole establishment is spotless and inviting and the restaurant was buzzing with chat and laughter. David and Gaye (and Anne) are to be commended on their attention to detail in every way. We shall return. Highly recommended !!

11/09/2025: A nice cafe, the menu looked good and the food was tasty. Sadly, the portions we had for lunch were really very small and we both left still feeling hungry. It was expensive and just didn’t feel like value for money, due to portion size.

15/07/2025: Great breakfast here. Fast and very friendly service and not expensive.

06/09/2025: This is an impeccably clean, bright, cosy cafe with plenty food options. There's ample parking outside and the seating is very comfortable. The toilet was spacious and very clean also. I visited here for a cappuccino and the presentation was nice, but the beans used had a very burnt flavour which I dislike. Aside from that, it's a really nice place.

11/10/2025: Awful slow service. Waiting one hour in total for my order. When I rang it in was told half an hour collection. Waited around Youghal, went into collect after 30 mins ended up waiting another half an hour standing in the porch huddled around other customers who were also waiting a ridiculous amount of time. I had 2 young kids with me. Food was only ok. I will not be returning. Panda Cookin in Tallow is far better for service and quality

28/09/2025: The food here was genuinely outstanding... chicken curry with half chips & rice - as good as anywhere Ive eaten. Superb / friendly service also.

17/08/2025: The rudest staff I have ever come across, especially the manager/ bar man with an English accent. Shushing customers and speaking abruptly to us because he couldn't cope with the 2 groups of customers coming into the bar for food at the same time. It wasn't even busy, but he couldnt handle it. We all have bad days, but the look on the staffs' faces suggest this is a regular occurance from him. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We ended up leaving. I feel sorry for the other staff, especially the lovely waiting staff who were trying to explain to him which group was to be seated next and looking at us with an apologetic look on their faces. Avoid at all costs.
