10/04/2026: Have stayed here many times going back 27 years, always treated well, meals always good, rooms tidy, staff friendly and prices fair.

18/03/2026: We went for balladfest at the wlend of February. We enjoyed ourselves and the night went off without a hitch. The food at the hotel was great, the staff were attentive and the drinks closed without stopping. Would go again. The bonus was the McDonald's across the road. Especially the next morning.

05/05/2026: A lovely experience, the room was spotless, pristine and had a gorgeous view out onto the nearby beach. The staff were wonderful, especially in the bar, serving food and always friendly, helpful and professional. Overall, a lovely welcoming break.

19/03/2026: Had my son's Confirmation meal at the hotel recently. My husband and I had visited the hotel and met with Jessica weeks prior. She showed us around the different private rooms and we picked Raleighs, a small private room at the back of the hotel. It was for a group of 10 people. We had other venues lined up and even though the Walter came in more expensive we decided to pay that bit extra for a private room and a nice atmosphere. We paid our 100 deposit that day and we were looking forward to the event. Roll on to my son's special day, we arrived at the hotel and I went to let reception know that we had arrived. We were then told that another family were in the room we booked. Then, a few excuses from other staff members were that it was because we were a smaller group. Another excuse was that construction work was going on outside the window of the room and another one was that the breakfast stuff was put in there that morning. We ended up sitting out in the lobby on a makeshift table. We felt like we were sitting in a hallway. People were passing us and children from other parties were running around our table and at one stage went in underneath our table. My husband complained to the duty manager who seemed very dismissive. Later when my husband was up at the bar he was told the round had no charge. This was for 3 alcohol beverages and 3 soft drinks. We left feeling very disappointed and embarrassed in front of our guests. My son kept asking why we were sitting in the lobby when we had booked a private room. The next day, I emailed the hotel to complain and though apologetic at first, all we got was excuses. No offer of anything else or any other goodwill gesture. If you want to have a special family occasion, look elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel.

11/12/2025: Although we had no booking we were received in the VIP sit down area, and what an experience that was. The atmosphere was delightful and only bettered by the 5 star service we received. Incredible experience. The beef black bean was delicious. Would highly recommend.

14/05/2026: Had a charming stay in this lovely hotel. Room was spotless and had a lovely sea view. The food was fantastic both breakfast and dinner and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

06/05/2026: Magic place, lovely staff, music on Sundays in the bar, top class food in the back bar and very nice classical restaurant also. Good value for top quality ingredients. Plenty of parking but can be busy maybe make reservation at weekends for food, beachfront fantastic views across the bay
