07/05/2024: 26 years between visits. Enjoyed two hours taking about Maureen and Vin’s grandfather Bat Lenihan who came from this area , with the son of the founder . Wonderful conversation ! A real treat for us.

11/09/2024: Found by chance and enjoyed delicious coffee and chocolate Brownies. Back following day for cakes, croissants, sausage rolls and marmalade to go!
Quality food at very reasonable prices with really friendly team. Love it!

The Fish Basket Longstrand
13/10/2024: I came across the Fish Basket during a cycle ride along the stunning West Cork coastline. I chose the fish taco special which was delicious and crispy and served with a very generous portion of chips.
It was a sunny day, and the outdoor seating overlooking the beach and the dunes was fantastic
19/09/2024: Spent 1 week in Schull and travelled twice to this amazing place.We had been here last year and year before and each time we had the VERY BEST FISH AND CHIPS EVER.. Fabulous fresh food,the most delicious batter. Brilliant. The staff are just lovely,very friendly and welcoming. There is always a queue but people will always queue if the food is good and the Fish Basket is the best. Thanks. Eileen. Belfast

29/08/2024: Went there for a quick breakfast on the way to Cork. Njce place with home made jams and baking goods. Scones are soft and fresh, sausage roll is very nice served with home made tomato confit. Recommend!
