Great bar. We were there during the Ryder Cup. The pub was packed and the atmosphere was incredible. They served pizza and a sausage hot dog. More variety would be nice, but both were perfectly fine as bar food. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and in good spirits.

21/06/2026: Nice food. Summer pudding for dessert— rare in England. Pleasant, very quiet (on a Sunday), staff helpful and jolly if not of the fastest! If it's a hotel, I saw no evidence of that.
01/06/2026: Always a pleasure to stay here! Rooms are a tad dated but homely, cosy, and comfortable. The food is the standout here, from breakfast, to bar, to restaurant. Everything is thoughtfully considered and assembled, fish being the winner in the bar and restaurant!
