The best restaurants in Cork

18/09/2025: Great course and very friendly staff. I played it in February and didn't get rain, so lucky. It's so much like Scottish links course. It's really good you can reserve tee times without staying at the resort. There are 5 courses at Bandon GC and they are in the top 20 in the USA.

16/08/2025: Some stunning views as you go on the course.. the greens were really well maintained as was the course in general.. very accommodating staff also..will definitely be back!

06/09/2025: This is an impeccably clean, bright, cosy cafe with plenty food options. There's ample parking outside and the seating is very comfortable. The toilet was spacious and very clean also. I visited here for a cappuccino and the presentation was nice, but the beans used had a very burnt flavour which I dislike. Aside from that, it's a really nice place.

30/08/2025: Wow what a gem. This place was hands down the nicest accommodation on our trip and we stayed in higher end places. The owners were fantastic and engaging and the manager was very helpful. It’s nestled in the back of a neighborhood in Mitchelstown (walking distance to town)The property is an expansive oasis hosting red deer and other farm animals. From the time you enter the big wrought iron gates to the time you leave you are taken care of. They will sometimes host a wine tasting in their private cellar of some of their own wines produced in Hungary (outstanding) if you get the chance. You would need to arrange in advance. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, the bed and shower were the best… If I could rate it 10 stars I would We will be back ……

25/10/2025: I like a good meal. By good I mean a masterclass in balance, complexity, good ingredients magnificently combined and prepared . . . Rare provided probably the best and most interesting meal I've ever had in Ireland. Wonderful subtle Indian hints brought to Cork produce. Absolutely wonderful!

28/09/2025: Definitely the best dining experience I've ever had. I went to Rare to celebrate my birthday and was impressed with the treatment I received. They really made me feel special!! I had a chef coming over to my table to explain every single one of the plates. It was great to learn the story behind the amazing flavour each one of the plates had. The price falls into the high-end category, but if you enjoy a unique dining experience,  I believe you won't regret visiting Rare.

31/10/2025: A superb townhouse and restaurant, with excellent service from all staff members and beautiful food. Even though I am coeliac and lactose intolerant, there was no problem meeting my needs (a rare event!) The whole establishment is spotless and inviting and the restaurant was buzzing with chat and laughter. David and Gaye (and Anne) are to be commended on their attention to detail in every way. We shall return. Highly recommended !!

10/10/2025: I spent 3 days here for a family reunion. Booking was easy and check in was even easier with it all organised before arrival. I stayed in a pod. I was cute and cosy with everything you would need for your stay. The location was so beautiful and having your own beach with stroll along was great. The only thing that would have made this even better was if the restaurant was open. Honestly if it was we would have dined there every day. Thankfully castletownbere wasn't far away to get something to ear. I will definitely return.

20/08/2025: I had a coffee, and saw what was called a Portuguese custard tart....pastel de nata.. which I must say was horrible. It was dry, no lemon zest taste and absolutely no cinnamon won't be back

10/08/2025: Overall it's a nice cafe with good potential and very comfortable seating options. The cappuccino was good and the overall atmosphere was nice. My biggest criticism is the place was freezing cold as they leave the door open even on cold mornings which is ridiculous. The place looked good in terms of cleanliness except some of the tables needed a deeper clean. Staff were friendly and professional enough. Would I return?......yes, if they closed the door and turned on the heating.

05/11/2025: One of the most amazing experiences of my life. The two days we spent at Liss Ard were complete and utter magic! We both loved it so much that we would love to go back and experience more of what this stunning estate has to offer. The staff, location, food and atmosphere was utter perfection! My dream getaway!! Already wishing we could go back ✨

20/09/2025: Only visited the gardens and the James Turrell Landscape Art. It was excellent with plenty of routs and places to sit and relax. The hotel receptiin was stunning.
