07/06/2026: Why I only now tried The Mex after living in Cobh for years...I dunno. Great food, big portions,everything is actually seasoned and flavourful. Great value for money. Love it.

01/06/2026: This is an A1 Mexican spot. Ordered online for collection and it was ready and hot. The pineapple soda and cola are fab as well. 10/10 Recommend the parmasean fries as well as a side !

26/03/2026: Wow! Today we brought a big group of residents from our Nursing Home for a big meal at the hotel and I just want to say we are very grateful for the beautiful food and the fantastic service!

13/06/2026: It is literally a hidden gem. Love the ambience, the food and the staff. The dessert suggested by the staff was so amazing. And the views, I can only say the best restaurants I've been to.

11/07/2026: absolutely beautiful building with delicious vegetarian options. the price is very reasonable and the food is creative. also great selection of wines that you wouldn't see most other places. our waitress with the red hair was soo nice and made us feel right at home too!

22/02/2026: Awful , it’s been a while since a posted anything but felt obligated.. frozen chips with mashed garlic potatoes with rubbery monkfish .. seriously I actually thought it’s harder to feck this up but they managed it ., Steak obviously overcooked and dry How it’s even allowed stay open with the conditions of the toilets .. no paper towels or hand dryers .. never again

23/01/2026: I love coming here every time I visit Fermoy. My favourites would be the sweet and sour chicken. You cannot go wrong, everything is yummy.

31/12/2025: Latest Edit: Gave it another go just now, the sweet and sour chicken was so watered down! The 'sauce' was so watery! The chicken pieces were soggy since they could just absorb so much from the 'sauce' .. it seriously tasted like dishwater and the soggy chicken was stringy :/ talk about a nose dive in quality Edit: Over the last year or so, the dishes seem to be a bit watered down. My most recent order involved getting a call from their delivery driver telling me the €5 delivery charge should be €7.50 because I was living 200meters past his personal cutoff point for €5. For a €75 order, it's a bit nit picking and bad form. They should contact their online ordering site on this if it's that much of an issue for them and their driver. Cancelled my order and will go elsewhere from now on.

14/08/2025: Had the fish and chip box form the food truck which is part of the bar and it was amazing quality to have on the beach .

12/08/2025: This is a real locals bar. Located just outside the town and right beside Jamesfort The Dock gives unrivalled views of the bay and is a perfect location for a summer’s day drink.

31/08/2025: I love this coffee shop.The staff are always friendly and the cakes are beautiful.The cake portions are a really good size,great value for money.I think their system is very efficient,go in ,order and pay,then wait out at the window for your coffees,even if the weather is bad,the area where you wait is covered.

10/04/2026: I love sweet things. I eat them all the time. After taking one bite of a cupcake, I could tell that it was made of pure sugar. I couldn't taste any flavour. One of the few times that I craved a piece of fruit or veg. Probably won't be returning soon - would be great to see my blood sugar levels drop to normal.

23/05/2026: This bar is a hidden gem, just off the main street a beautiful cosy bar with the friendlies people in youghal, so welcoming and the atmosphere is fantastic, lovely open coal/ log fire for cold evenings, we enjoyed a fantastic music session on Friday night with local artists that were brilliant, everyone in the bar singing along, cant recommend this bar enough, an exceptional family run bar in the hear of youghal town, I gave ut 5 stars but would have given more ♥️♥️♥️

12/05/2026: Made very welcome in this establishment, had mighty craic with the locals and owners despite my English accent, some very generous Gin and tonics and on a Monday night . The gluepot I think they call it once in hard to leave
