The Quays

16/05/2025: I was recently at The Quays and the experience was simply impeccable! From the super well-prepared drinks to the food, everything was delicious and well presented. But what really made the difference was the service — we were served by a super friendly, attentive and professional Brazilian waitress. She made us feel at home and made the evening even more enjoyable. I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone!
15/05/2025: I can't believe all the bad reviews. This place was great. I got the prawn pil pil, fish n chips, and seafood chowder. It was ALL amazing (4 of us agreed). To the people complaining about price, don't go out to eat if you can't afford it. The service was excellent and the view was spectacular. It was 22 euros for the fish and chips, 25 for the Prawns, a burger was 18. You can probably eat cheaper elsewhere, but you won't get the service or the views. The food quality was spot on.

09/05/2025: My go2 is crispy shredded chicken with stay sauce and noodles. And it's the best genuinely. The noodles are not soggy or anything and they're done lovely with onions and a nice soy sauce. They don't skimp out on the amount if chicken you get either and lots of lovely veg aswell water chestnuts, bean sprouts, spring onion and it's so well seasoned and especially the satay tastes so nice!! Definitely would recommend this place.

06/05/2025: We dined recently at The White House Kinsale and it was amazing. We had the crab scones/moules marinéres and posh prawn kataifi nest and all three were very well presented and very tasty. The nest, which is edible, was something completely different and the prawns had a lovely hit of heat in the sauce. For our mains, we had the seafood pancake which was packed with seafood and was very filling. It was just perfect. We also had the Katsu curry and it certainly did not disappoint. The flavours were perfect and the sauce was creamy and mildly spicy. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough and the staff were attentive and most obliging. We will definitely return.

Service was hit and miss. After we sat down we were asked by 2 or 3 different members of staff if we had booked the table. We did not have a booking but it should not have mattered either way as plenty of tables were free and stayed so throughout our visit.
The atmosphere was nice enough. Though there were a few very loud other diners around us.
04/04/2025: I ordered chicken toast and I have to say it was very good. I went for lunch and there weren't many people, I imagine it's a very busy place in the evening. Great music choice!

20/04/2025: I had a great experience at Lynchs Bakery this Saturday, thanks to a young staff member with long light brown hair. She was so friendly and welcoming, making sure my order was perfect and even offering helpful suggestions. Despite being busy, she managed to give everyone attention and made the whole visit really enjoyable. Her kindness and great service stood out, and I’ll definitely be back!
30/03/2025: Had a wonderful Irish breakfast to kick start our west cork holiday, ideal stop on the way from the airport. Very friendly service and great value, highly recommend.

01/06/2025: Fabulous hotel. The food in bar and the breakfast is amazing. Our room was a little small but bathroom was huge and shower really powerful.
31/05/2025: Nice hotel walking distance to pretty much everything you could want in the city. Great restaurant options nearby. Friendly, helpful staff that was very accommodating. We had had a terrible experience at the hotel we stayed at in Galway and the Maldron definitely turned it around for us.
