25/06/2025: Very detailed account of The Famine, so pretty harrowing in places. Also contains information on the nature reserve, as well as a decent gift shop.

04/04/2025: Fantastic cafe, delicious food and great price point. The staff are so kind and have got great music taste 👌🏻 we had the tomato soup and the Beef and Brie sandwich and it was delicious! 🤤

02/10/2025: The owner is an absolute gent, every time you go it he always has a smile and is up for a chat. I've tried here many times now and I have yet to find one of their bakes that isn't good. Well worth a visit

08/08/2025: We ordered our wedding cake from messy buns and 100 cupcakes the guests loved all of it and it all looked and tasted amazing 😍 thank you messy buns.

26/03/2026: I love this bar but It's so dark in here it's hard to see anything. Toilets are disgusting. Needs a really good clean.

24/03/2026: So popped in here over the weekend after hearing such good things about the new "owner" after not been home to Youghal in years. The lady behind the bar who i presume was the owner couldn't have been more unwelcoming if she tried.Kind of looked us up and down when we entered and then More or less threw the drinks at myself and the person I was with....as I can only assume we weren't locals as that's who she was focused on....awful lady....needless to say the next time im back in my home town ill avoid this establishment. Other bars in the town are much more welcoming that's this place.

09/10/2025: WOW… You need to try this place in Youghal! I’ve tried multiple different dishes on the menu, and it’s always delicious (breakfast, lunch & dinner)! The experience is then made even better by the warm, friendly and attentive staff who all make a big effort. The amazing view over the ocean is another beautiful part of the experience here. It’s inside the golf club, so there’s loads of free parking which makes life easy! You don’t need to be a golfer to eat here. It’s open to everyone and I highly recommend! 10/10, five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

30/08/2025: Tips & Improvements What a lovely spot! Below Youghal, there's a kilometer-long sandy beach. Up on the mountain around the Table 8 Bistro is the golf course. How cool is that :-) The older folks keep fit by swimming in the sea at around 20 degrees Celsius, and the youngsters play golf around the Table 8 Bistro. You have to see it! The food at the Table 8 Bistro is very good for a bistro, the view is magnificent, and the staff very friendly. We'd love to come back. Improvements That huge bush right in front of one of the windows really blocks the view of the sea and the landscape. You should really consider relocating it. We certainly didn't understand why it was planted in that exact spot. Leave me a heart :-)

10/01/2026: I work in the center and 9 times out of 10 get my lunch here! The food is top quality and always super consistent, the staff are lovely too! Emily in particular is always so kind and polite to every customer, and she is super efficient too! Give that girl a raise!! Great burritos and staff 10/10 would recommended

23/02/2026: Food needs to be looked at and the quality improved. The roast dinners are good but the rest of it is not. Had the dinner box chicken had that horrible taste of oil. Chips are either just about cooked or still raw. Pizzas are not great. Potatoe pies are good when they are not still cold in the middle. Please improve quality of your beef burgers. The size of your drinks at least need to be the same as other fast food chains out there. I do like to support local. Until the quality of the food and consistency improve I'll be slow to return.

21/02/2026: Awful burgers, average ships. Very slow drive through

23/08/2025: Ordered an oat matcha, was handed one with cows milk. I noticed the odd taste straight away. After I asked for another one, the matcha they handed me was brown and only tasted of syrup. Very disappointing.

14/07/2025: Lovely cookie hot chocolate and a big one too, had a nice apple tart also. The place is nice and quiet when I visited and service was good.

17/09/2025: Lovely breakfast here, food is top notch. Seating can be hard to find when it's busy. Nice children's play area by the toilets. Facilities are very clean and staff is are nice

27/12/2025: Well organized chipper that stays up to date with opening hours via Facebook. Good food, reasonable wait times, friendly service, and reliable.

25/09/2025: Gogo grills do the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted and their kebabs are also the best around. The Gogo grills family are a big part of the Whitegate community, always there to support local fundraisers and community events.

19/12/2025: Don’t waste your money. Food was terrible. Staff were rude when I tried to request my drink that I paid for and told me it would be an extra charge.
