22/12/2024: As others have mentioned, it doesn't look like much, but there's so much heart in this place. Wonderful owner, and lots of great events that are all about bringing people together. Some of the best nachos you can get.

16/06/2025: We were short on time and decided to grab a quick bite here. We ate well and were very satisfied. There are plenty of options for vegetarians too. Even though they are sandwiches and similar, they are presented with great care.

09/06/2025: Swung in on a Monday 20 minutes prior to closing…hoping to get a bagel… felt invisible walking in, staff outside chatting it up either 2 old guys and organising chairs….had to walk outside and ask if they were still open…she said yes…but upon returning to the counter to ask for our order simply said no food, only coffee takeaway… ok…we go somewhere else…no worries….

14/07/2025: Just home from a lovely family trip to Clonakilty. Have been to The Courtyard on several occasions with family and friends and the food and service is top notch. Fantastic selection on all menus from Breakfast to Dinner. Actually the best Breakfast in Clonakilty as far as im concerned. Great value for money, you wont leave here feeling hungry that's for sure ! . Great quality and freshly prepared food. I love a Cocktail and was spoiled for choice with their Cocktail Menu. Highly recommend dropping in to The Courtyard in Clonakilty, looking forward to my next visit.

20/06/2025: We have been going to China Dragon every few months for nearly 15 years since our kids were in high chairs. We love it there, the staff are always very friendly and polite. The food is always fresh, tasty and flavourful. I would highly recommend the dish called the three musketeers.

06/06/2025: I have to say, the large munch box from here was very nice. One of the best around. The only real issue was that with the much box we also got chicken balls meal. Unfortunately all the chicken balls in the meal and box were overcooked to the stage they were inedible. This was very unfortunate as we also got 2 more dishes and they were nice. It wasn’t incredible but still better than most Chinese restaurants around. I would go here again and if the chicken balls we’re cooked properly this place would get 4/5 stars

10/06/2025: Went here for lunch Sunday with my two children. Tried the carvery which I have to say was very nice. My children ordered Goujons and Chips from the Kids menu. In fairness their portion size was good but they did not like the Goujons themselves. I tried a piece of one and I found it to be a little tasteless. On a positive note the waitress who served us was lovely and great talking to the kids however the the person serving the carvery was engaging in a very loud conversation with other staff and using colourful language. My children noticed this and were a bit upset talking about it afterwards. While this language is probably acceptable for a bar setting on a Saturday night it was inappropriate in front of children and really unprofessional for someone serving front of house. So a mixed bag really. Good solid Carvery and lovely waitress but disappointing kids food and an unprofessional member of staff.

18/07/2025: This is a nice Costa. Coffee was good and place is clean.

15/06/2025: All great till, Costa has a sign to dog friendly on the door So brought my dog in , where people came pet her didn’t seem to bother about her. My dog barked a few times , obviously due to excitement of people approaching her And 2 staff members asked me to leave the inside because the bark and sit outside if I could. So if you do love your pet , do not bring to this place, as it’s not welcome for dogs .

13/07/2025: A typical Irish pub, serving both beer and food. Closed on Tuesdays. They have a good selection of beers. If you don't specify, they'll give you a Heineken. There's a bit of a wait for the food, but the soup of the day is excellent, though I didn't take a photo.

05/07/2025: Can't find much fault here.Food 5 stars, service and atmosphere not. I have given 5 stars to all 3 categories on my rating because I feel this place is worthy of 5 stars despite its less than 5 star delivery on service and atmosphere. The menu here was beautiful, every single dish was great. From the in-house charcuterie, the wild and foraged ingredients to the superb treatment of said larder, brilliant. Wine list was small but wine pairing was excellently judged. Negatives, not much really, nitpicking at best and definitely circumstantial.Atmosphere is very hushed and we found ourselves whispering mostly and service is compromised by the fact that as far we could tell (which may be incorrect) there were only 4 staff in the restaurant full stop (kitchen,waiting, front of house etc). So in conclusion if all you are interested in is beautiful food check this place out it is superb.

02/07/2025: Had the full tasting menu (no wine pairing), thought everything was good but not great. I would expect to have a few stand out dishes that you walk away talking about but really nothing was memorable. Considering the price I expected better. Service was great though - attentive but not stuffy. Atmosphere was a little bland and quiet - maybe we just caught it on a slow night. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area but if comparing to bigger cities in Ireland, it’s not a standout for me.

24/04/2025: Takeaway Food. Good food but staff not very engaged. The one-way layout of the small shop means it’s difficult to browse at the counter without being pressured by the customer behind you. There is an obvious reluctance to supply bags fit for purpose too and I was handed three quite large items and expected to balance them in my hands, heading out into the heavy rain. I will return but these things do need to be ironed out if they care about their customer experience.
