13/04/2025: We were staying nearby on our road trip around Ireland and decided to stop in for an early dinner. The best decision so far. The food was amazing, we both had the lamb shank pot pie and it was the best meal we’ve had on the holiday so far. Friendly and efficient service. Can’t fault it. Five stars!

29/10/2024: Loved this place so much I will be going back as soon as I get a few days off. The oysters from Sherkin were honestly the best I’ve had ever. I was staying in the hotel attached to the restaurant and the breakfast room is actually probably the nicest place I’ve been in. Staff so friendly and just overall brilliant place. Can’t wait to go back.

04/04/2025: Our second time staying at this fine hotel and I'm sure we'll be back again when next in Cork.
I would particularly highlight that all of the staff we encountered were professional, courteous and friendly. It makes a big difference!
Room and facilities were entirely adequate. A few minor glitches were sorted out promptly and without fuss.
I have stayed in a number of hotels in the city over many years. In my opinion this one is top of the list.
