24/02/2026: Best pizza I’ve ever tried for take away. Plenty of filling, soft dough and lots of cheese. You’ll feel full for hours. Totally recommend

08/07/2025: Great pub. Fun atmosphere and the landlord it the salt of the earth. A must if you visit Bantry.

27/05/2025: We were in Bantry a couple of years ago. My brother and I stopped in while our wives were shopping. We had a couple of pints and struck up a conversation with the barkeep. He had spent the summer in California. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

22/09/2025: Best coffee shop in mallow no doubt. The baking is actual real proper fresh stuff (not the type that’s dry and been brought in by outsourcing from some company). I got a millionaire shortbread square im really craving a lot after being there. Atmosphere very nice as well. Family run. Clean tables- literally everything is spot on 👌

27/12/2025: Nice, buzzy spot. One of the few, if not the only, places open in town over the Christmas weekend. Service was good and the girls were attentive, but with Soma coffee I had high expectations, the flat white may as well have been a milky americano. Unfortunate for Soma coffee.

04/01/2026: We got dinner here because they were the only place in town serving food. The seafood platter was unfortunately a miss. Our waiter was nice but the bartender seemed to actively avoid us. Next time we'd drive to a different town for dinner.

27/10/2025: Unpleasant experience. We waited at the bar for around 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Despite approaching staff several times to ask about getting a table, we continued to be ignored. Unfortunately, we decided to leave.

28/09/2025: The food here was genuinely outstanding... chicken curry with half chips & rice - as good as anywhere Ive eaten. Superb / friendly service also.

24/03/2026: Best place within a 10 mile radius. Staff always polite and professional - always returning for the homemade pizzas !! Chips are best I’ve come across

06/10/2025: We had a BBQ for our wedding day 2 at the Alley Garden in August and our 75 guests were delighted. Super friendly staff and lovely beer garden to enjoy some fresh air, great for live music too (we had some trad going on). Food was simple yet tasty and buffet style was efficient. We had brought in some of our wedding decoration and it made the place really cosy. Thanks Keith & team for the service!

20/09/2025: I stopped in mid morning after strolling around town. Just wanted a tea and snack nothing heavy or big. The hot chocolate brownie and ice cream I ordered was easily one of the best things I’ve eaten since I’ve been here in Ireland! Every bit was savored! I left not a crumb!

31/08/2025: I love this coffee shop.The staff are always friendly and the cakes are beautiful.The cake portions are a really good size,great value for money.I think their system is very efficient,go in ,order and pay,then wait out at the window for your coffees,even if the weather is bad,the area where you wait is covered.

24/10/2025: This little gem is worth walking an extra 5 minutes from the main square. Visited first with a local and returned with my husband, who is very picky about his mochas. Lucky for us, Orla—the most gracious and wonderful barista—was there for both visits. In addition to her friendly demeanor, Orla serves up delicious coffee. Though the delights of Grounded Coffee are served from a cute little food truck, they offer plenty of seating… even a cozy, inside area with heat and comfortable seating. And there are great views too. Can’t wait to return!
