24/04/2025: Takeaway Food. Good food but staff not very engaged. The one-way layout of the small shop means it’s difficult to browse at the counter without being pressured by the customer behind you. There is an obvious reluctance to supply bags fit for purpose too and I was handed three quite large items and expected to balance them in my hands, heading out into the heavy rain. I will return but these things do need to be ironed out if they care about their customer experience.

09/04/2025: Wow. You don’t get deli’s like this everywhere so to find such an excellent, and such good value, place in Bantry was amazing. Just a cuppa, or after amazing cakes and delicious light lunches - then come here. You will not be disappointed.

27/05/2025: We were in Bantry a couple of years ago. My brother and I stopped in while our wives were shopping. We had a couple of pints and struck up a conversation with the barkeep. He had spent the summer in California. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

17/04/2025: Popped in here as kids fancied a pizza. Shop bought bases at handmade prices. "Italian sausage" on pizza was hotdog, random chicken on meat feast which wasn't mentioned on menu. Would probably avoid

10/04/2025: There was 1 key at check in for 2 people. Went back to ask if we could get a 2nd key cut and were moved to another room. 2nd room had tea/coffee but no kettle, espresso machine or fan, so we grabbed them from the first room as to not bother staff. There was also no iron. Window hard to open. Safe hard to lock and couldn’t unlock it. Maintenance arrived and unlocked it manually. I asked how to relock it and he said he had bad English. I was a bit worried as I had to leave and had nowhere to store passport/cash. As I was leaving, a manager arrived and figured out the safe batteries were dead, so she gave me new batteries. Room service gave us new towels and water only but didn’t replenish coffee or milk. There is no fan in the bathroom. Shower was cold on 3rd day, and reception said to wait 20 minutes while they boosted the hot water. I had a do not disturb sign on the door, yet cleaning staff scared me by walking in without knocking. To note, there were no internal-only locks, which seemed a bit unsafe, especially considering we were told that a previous guest walked out with one of the keys to our original room. All in all, the room was clean, bed comfortable (as long as you don’t fall into the middle where two twins were pushed together) and location great. The issue is it is a 3 star hotel billed as 5 star, so overpriced/overrated. If it were listed as a 3 star and priced accordingly, there would be no issue.

19/01/2025: Previous experience ; Went to Revel with high expectations, coffee nothing to write home about, also left disappointed with the hostile owner as she made us feel unwelcome

07/05/2025: Where to begin… The table was dirty, 2 of the chairs had holes in them. The server was so disinterested and clearly found serving us a real chore. Didn’t offer us any water, took the food order and disappeared before we could order drinks. 3 of the 4 meals were very average and 1 awful. After one course we decided to call it quits and went to the bar. Took 30 mins to order a drink, apparently there was bingo on in an adjacent room and a lack of staff. When the vodka and tonic turned up there was no lemon, “but if I really wanted one the server would have to go back to the bar and slice a whole Lemon , seriously! The bar and restaurant are really dated and in some serious need of some TLC. The food is disappointing and some staff training wouldn’t go amiss either!

10/05/2025: I had a new inspiration in making fried rice. Food is good and the only one I didn’t like is the calamari. It was overcooked and rubbery. Too much batter as well. Customer service is great. She made sure that we are well taken cared of. Place is nice as well with a good atmosphere.

14/05/2025: Very disappointing experience. I waited 30 minutes for my sandwich. When I went to ask about it, they told me they had forgotten my order. Fine, mistakes happen. But when the older waitress finally brought it over, she didn’t even apologize — and on top of that, it was the wrong sandwich. When I went back to tell her it wasn’t what I had ordered, she told me to “calm down.” Absolutely unacceptable behavior. Very rude and unprofessional service. I won’t be coming back.

12/04/2025: Ridiculous prices, €3.10 for a bag of salt and vinegar taytos, €3.60 for a browny that was stale and gone off. I never put in reviews but I had to for this place. Coffee was not good at all. Staff where very good but, I will not be going back.

02/03/2025: Good spot (and the only pub in town!!) Small bar with a dart board, note: off season they just do soup and toasted sandwiches. Very friendly staff and patrons!

06/05/2025: Brought all my family & friends here after my wedding & it was an amazing pub, the staff look after you so well. Great pints, great music, great service, what more can you ask for.
