04/08/2025: Great lunch, really helpful staff and dog friendly 👍 (Gluten free options)

13/07/2025: A typical Irish pub, serving both beer and food. Closed on Tuesdays. They have a good selection of beers. If you don't specify, they'll give you a Heineken. There's a bit of a wait for the food, but the soup of the day is excellent, though I didn't take a photo.

11/10/2025: Refused service due to having a service dog. Very disappointing.

20/09/2025: I stopped in mid morning after strolling around town. Just wanted a tea and snack nothing heavy or big. The hot chocolate brownie and ice cream I ordered was easily one of the best things I’ve eaten since I’ve been here in Ireland! Every bit was savored! I left not a crumb!

03/11/2025: My family booked a birthday dinner for me at Jacob’s Ladder, and it turned out to be a lovely evening. The view by the water is absolutely beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. My daughter arranged a surprise dessert for me, and the restaurant served it with a candle to blow out ,a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! The food was delicious overall, though my husband found the chicken supreme a bit awkward to eat, as it was served in a deep bowl rather than a plate. A flatter dish would have made it easier to cut. Despite that, everything else was wonderful: great atmosphere, tasty food, and a lovely place to celebrate special moments.

21/09/2025: Nice location with a view of the ship dock. Rates 2 stars for service as stuff was absolutely not taking care of their clients. Waiting too long to order ,waiting too long for the bill as four of us were watching like three waitresses had a nice chat between themselves in the bar. Nevertheless, chowder was very tasty- well done to chef! As well as burger.

02/10/2025: If you see this after googling Pizza in midleton there is definitely takeaways of better quality and value within the area. The pizzas are average at best, comparable to 4 star or dominos. Grand after a few pints kind of pizza

25/07/2025: They organised a party order for an event I was hosting, they delivered it still piping hot, fantastic service and good prices for the quality of the food. Everyone loved it!

02/10/2025: Wether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner this place is always a safe bet. Yet to get bad food here and ive tried it on many occasions, the takeaway option is also very handy.

08/12/2025: Horrendous service. My friend payed separately from me as she was there first. She was waiting 20 minutes for her coffee as they said they would drop it down, but never did, she had to go ask for it. I arrived, paid for it, was told they would drop it down, never arrived, I had to ask for it 20 mins later and waitress told me we only had bought one coffee at the table! Upset over the incident and I note the manager never apologies,

06/11/2025: My daughter and I went into this café at 2:55 pm for a coffee and a pastry. I paid €11, and when the coffees arrived, the waiter told us they close at 3:00 pm. I don't think it's right that they don't warn you that they close in 5 minutes.

28/11/2025: Very nice seafood. Relaxed atmosphere. After your drive, take the (short) walk around over the causeway, there a lovely view over Glandore Harbour.

11/12/2025: Although we had no booking we were received in the VIP sit down area, and what an experience that was. The atmosphere was delightful and only bettered by the 5 star service we received. Incredible experience. The beef black bean was delicious. Would highly recommend.
