01/04/2025: Pasta and focaccia breads were delicious. Pizza only ok I thought. Staff were very good.

20/12/2024: I stopped here for breakfast recently. There were workmen having breakfast there so I knew it was going to be good as they always find a good breakfast. Amazing breakfast, the beans, fried egg, chips ,toast were particularly good as was the white pudding. The coffee was good too. Lovely staff. Highly recommend. Lads, its a breakfast that even a priest would Leap to on good friday

15/03/2025: We had the fish of the day and a chocolate cake as a dessert. It was lovely and tasted great. We sat by the window, which had a beautiful view and excellent service.

06/03/2025: Lovely bar to spend a couple of hours ... overlooking the port. Attentive staff good food and a cool beer... what more do you want??? 😀

19/02/2025: Seating available inside and outside. Dine in and takeout available. Food was really good and coffee and pastries tasted fresh and delicious. Free parking lot available not to far away.

26/01/2025: We had coffee and hot chocolate and everything was very good. The waitresses are very friendly. Charleville is a nice town to stop over.

12/10/2024: Fabulous dining experience, full house on a Saturday night provided for a lovely atmosphere helped by laid back, pleasant, friendly staff who were well trained and super at what they do. Great building with old style large shopfront windows. BYO policy at no extra charge which is pretty unique! Every dish was fresh & delicious, mussels, sea bream, haddock, beef all cooked and presented to perfection. Totally enjoyable evening finished off nicely with a reasonable bill. Definitely recommend.

16/09/2024: Fabulous restaurant in the picturesque setting of Rosscarbery village with large windows to take it in and we had the perfect table inside the window to enjoy it. We were advised on arrival of the BYO policy with local pubs happily allowing takeaway drinks to the restaurant or shop with off licence a few doors away. Complimentary delicious bread was served immediately which is becoming more of a rarity. The BYO is also complimentary even though they chill your beers and supply wine coolers and glasses at your table. We started with mussels and portobello mushrooms, our mains included haddock, crayfish & a slow cooked beef pasta dish finishing off with yummy desserts. Each dish and mouthful was cooked to perfection and so flavoursome. Roast veg were served with mains, water bowls not forgotten with mussels, food and service was perfection. Finally the dreaded part……the bill but this was almost as good as the food!!! This restaurant is extremely well priced, something we don’t see these days…….value for money offering superb quality food and pleasant service in a really nice atmosphere makes for a night out that you’ll want to and can afford to repeat several times. Highly highly recommend.

10/04/2025: There was 1 key at check in for 2 people. Went back to ask if we could get a 2nd key cut and were moved to another room. 2nd room had tea/coffee but no kettle, espresso machine or fan, so we grabbed them from the first room as to not bother staff. There was also no iron. Window hard to open. Safe hard to lock and couldn’t unlock it. Maintenance arrived and unlocked it manually. I asked how to relock it and he said he had bad English. I was a bit worried as I had to leave and had nowhere to store passport/cash. As I was leaving, a manager arrived and figured out the safe batteries were dead, so she gave me new batteries. Room service gave us new towels and water only but didn’t replenish coffee or milk. There is no fan in the bathroom. Shower was cold on 3rd day, and reception said to wait 20 minutes while they boosted the hot water. I had a do not disturb sign on the door, yet cleaning staff scared me by walking in without knocking. To note, there were no internal-only locks, which seemed a bit unsafe, especially considering we were told that a previous guest walked out with one of the keys to our original room. All in all, the room was clean, bed comfortable (as long as you don’t fall into the middle where two twins were pushed together) and location great. The issue is it is a 3 star hotel billed as 5 star, so overpriced/overrated. If it were listed as a 3 star and priced accordingly, there would be no issue.

01/04/2025: A local spot I get lunches/breakfast for the office - and myself too! Such a great service every single time and fresh pastries, sandwiches, salads and great coffee too. They have lovely weekly special sandwiches as well. Even though I order for collection as our office is just across the street - they always just pop in and deliver it to us. It’s a pleasure to be supporting a local business who do their best for their customers!

11/03/2025: The sandwich are very good, if somewhat on the pricey side. However, in terms if vlaue, it holds up very well against the competition, many of whom charge nearly as much for an inferior product

20/12/2024: Technically I cannot rate the food BUT - we arrived late (kitchen had closed) and we were weary hungry travelers passing thru to Cork. The manager suggested we get take away from the chippie next door and bring it back to enjoy at the tavern. We did and he poured us a few perfect pints of Guinness to accompany our meal. The crowd and atmosphere was perfect and we felt very much welcome and at home. Thank you ! Next time we will get in on time for supper!
