The best restaurants in Cork

06/03/2025: Fabulous venue in the centre of the village. Food was served by a lovely waitress and it all looked gorgeous. Clean plates across the whole group. Something on the menu for every taste.

06/03/2025: 12 diners and 12 clean plates. It was divine. Biggest struggle was trying to decide what to order. Service and food quality were faultless. Perfect for a group looking for a good value meal.

04/01/2025: Really enjoyed my visit to Monty's, got one of the smoothest oat flat whites I've ever had - I was questioning if it was even oat milk at all! Lovely service and great central location, will have to come back and try out the food in the future. Limited enough seating but we waited a couple minutes and got a table.

01/10/2024: This is a well kept campsite, in a lovely corner of West Cork. The manager is friendly and helpful. Showers and toilets were clean and well stocked.

25/09/2024: Nice big (expensive 45 euros per night inc electricity) campsite with free showers where you could not set the temperature. Toilet blocks were renewed on the inside a few years ago. There are paved places with grass next to them. The village is 3km by bike from the campsite, there is a shop and a few restaurants. The manager was very friendly, he normally closed a few days before but we were allowed to stay for one night (we were not alone 🙂)

18/11/2024: We’re a group of friends from Barcelona who came to visit another friend living here in Ireland. She surprised us with a dinner at what she called one of the best restaurants in County Cork. And let me say, it was a very pleasant surprise because we had an amazing time. The restaurant is a bit outside the city, in a peaceful and idyllic setting, yet still close enough – we got there in just 20 minutes. The food? Absolutely spectacular. I’ve never had a sole that size before, and it was cooked to perfection, so tender it felt like a sponge. We also had hake, which was delicious. The side plates of vegetables were spot-on, cooked to the perfect texture. Everything was just flawless – too perfect, even. It’s been a long time since I’ve had such authentic fish for dinner. We also tried oysters, which were heavenly, and chicken pâté with avocado and crab. Everything was a solid 10, truly. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt like I had to this time because it was genuinely one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was also authentically Irish, and the owners – I don’t even know what to say – were incredibly friendly and attentive. They felt like real friends, making you feel at home, as if you’d known them forever. When we return to Ireland, we will absolutely be coming back.

19/07/2024: A most memorable Friday night If you want a magical experience..Finders ..If you could rate a restaurant experience at 6 stars or more..it's in Nohaval .The kind warm welcome from the proprietors..the food..the music...the people..the setting ..the finer details.It exudes elegance in every manner Huge respect to the owners for coming back even stronger after surviving pandemic .

26/08/2024: The owner is so kind and all the food/drinks were fantastic! We loved it so much, we got a big box of pastries to go. If we ever come back to Ireland, this Cafe and city is a place we have to visit again. Favorite stop on a 10 day journey around Ireland.
