08/12/2025: Certainly not a luxurious room (some years ago maybe) and overpriced.Carpet was badly stained and bathroom rad didn’t work.Hotel and breakfast cafe in need of renovation. Bay view turned out to be you can see the edge of the harbour from the far corner of the window.Good sized room, great location and friendly staff.

24/10/2025: I love love love love this city! Unfortunately we did not get to stay long. However I got a feel for the city and its people as soon as I stepped of the bus. It’s busy and crazy but so friendly and welcoming at the same time! As for the hotel. I was not a fan, it’s old and I love old, love the history and the charm but it seemed more of a places that needed updating. I hated my room but my family loved there’s. To each their own I guess!

20/10/2025: Great food and really friendly staff. I usually order once or twice a week there (chicken burger and taco fries).

18/07/2025: I ordered a fish and chips from the Bandon van I can tell you the fish was tasteless it tasted like water the chips I don’t understand how people eat those chips they are rock I also waited 20 min for a fish and chips they where probably defrosting the fish they had no orders when I ordered she’s Evan asked me do you want tha deal of the day fish chips or do you want the big one I got the fish chips cost me 16 euro it was pure I couldn’t eat it had to go in the bin that fish is not fresh is frozen fish

19/11/2025: Delightful local pub we stopped for lunch at after touring the forts. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was beyond what you would expect for pub food. We had the Huntsman burger which was handmade right down to the patty. Delicious. The daily roast was pork loin, and also excellent. Last two dishes were Bangers and Mash, and the BBQ Chicken, again, stupendous. Portions are grand, and the smell when it comes out, well, that's why the pictures are what they are. So well done, this is a gem of a place.

09/09/2025: I booked a table in advance for a birthday meal for my partner yesterday evening, neither of us had been there before, and we were both very impressed. Our host was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the steak in sichuan sauce and the aromatic duck hotpot. Plenty of flavour, the veggies were fresh and the meat was tender, we'll definitely be back.

06/10/2025: We had a BBQ for our wedding day 2 at the Alley Garden in August and our 75 guests were delighted. Super friendly staff and lovely beer garden to enjoy some fresh air, great for live music too (we had some trad going on). Food was simple yet tasty and buffet style was efficient. We had brought in some of our wedding decoration and it made the place really cosy. Thanks Keith & team for the service!

21/11/2025: Wonderful evening and event. Top class meal 100% ... BUT parking left a lot yes a lot to be desired. Damp & wet evening ment, a lot of "wet limestone slime" was everywhere. On footwear, cars interiors etc. .And allowing parking of cars at entrance door, .s a definite no no. Clear access should be mentioned at ALL times in the event of an emergency

27/10/2025: We ordered a small pizza we got full cuse it was so good my friend hated margarita pizza but he loves it cuse of Eskimo pizza I would defentlly recommend it 100 out of 10 5 stars

17/07/2025: What an amazing cafe. Filled with artefacts from grandma's place. The coffee was superb. The atmosphere awesome. The scones...best I've ever had. Great conversation with Peter who does all the baking himself.

14/09/2025: Really good quality, flavorsome food, my mum and I aren't big on take-out, but love this place and go all the time! Homemade desserts are my mum's go to, good quality non processed ingredients. Lovely girls working there :)

24/08/2025: Had vegetarian crunch wrap and chicken quesadilla here, Both were absolutely delicious!! Highly recommended. Staff is also very sweet and polite.

31/10/2025: This place has gone to the dogs. Used to enjoy the fish. Then they stopped selling fish. OK, I'll get a beef burger. That was tragically bad. Dry like it had been sitting in a hot box all night. Then went on to the chicken. I've had the "Breast in a bun" 5 times now. 2 times out of the 5 it was nice. That's terrible odds with the prices they charge. It's just gone really, really downhill.

09/11/2025: Would probably be busier if not full of teenagers Who just come and go with sweet and drinks not bought here taking up whole back of shop and staff not paying any attention to this used to come weekly this will be my last time as working all week just looking for a quiet coffee on a Sunday afternoon
