03/11/2024: Went here for cappuccino recently at Marina market - it was the most watered down cappuccino Iv ever tried ! Hot water is all it was ! That’s €3 I will never see again ! ( If I could I’d give it a ***zero star*** )

20/10/2024: I was very impressed with the pizza here last night! It was delicious. Proper wood fired oven and pizza made from scratch. Will be back. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

12/05/2025: Was there last Thursday evening with a friend, my friend got chicken tenders I tasted one and it didn't taste right so I left it, my friend had about 4 chicken tenders and left the rest behind, by the time we left and got into the car, he had stomach pains, personally will never go near that place again, food is not the best

04/01/2025: Really enjoyed my visit to Monty's, got one of the smoothest oat flat whites I've ever had - I was questioning if it was even oat milk at all! Lovely service and great central location, will have to come back and try out the food in the future. Limited enough seating but we waited a couple minutes and got a table.

02/01/2025: Had high hopes for this place but was sadly let down by the service. The lady who took out order was absolutely lovely but two members of staff seemed very unhappy to be there, and made us feel very uncomfortable. Twice they asked a little boy to stop "banging" the chair despite the fact that he clearly wasn't annoying anyone but them. When a party came in late asking to be seated for lunch they very rude to them saying " lunch is over but I suppose this once we can serve you" Never been made to feel so uncomfortable in an establishment in my life. Couldn't wait to get out of there to be honest. Such a pity. Must do better, Nook

27/04/2025: Absolutely phenomenal bar food it's a must when passing through belgooly village this family company deserves credit for there food and And refreshing pints in regards to restaurants to visit the huntsman is a must don't hesitate to pop in you won't regret try my experience was nothing but above and beyond top quality service and food🥳🙌🙌

14/05/2025: We waited a long time outside to be accommodated, but later found out the restaurant wasn't even full and had more available tables. We were offended by one Filipino staff when we asked for tap water instead of ordering drinks. She responded sarcastically by saying, "Aaayyy, nagtitipid kayo?"—implying that we were trying to save money. Is that really a proper way to treat customers, even lets say if we're both Filipinos? Waited long time to serve our food, and she served a wrong order, that order is for the next table. Didn't hear apology from her. The restaurant was very noisy because of her, she was loudly talking and laughing with the other staff as if she were at home. Other customers even looking at her and seems to be in shock. Great location. Food portions were good. Prices were reasonable. We liked our food. But having good food is a useless if the staff is rude.

15/11/2024: Bingo on Wednesdays, trad most Fridays, first class live music on Sundays. Great home cooking by Evelyn. Missing Brandy, the lovely sheepdog who crossed the rainbow bride this year.

13/03/2025: I’ve been coming to this café for years and have always enjoyed my usual order—a cappuccino. The consistency and quality have always been excellent, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. However, I’ve recently noticed a change in taste. After paying closer attention, I realized that the barista now automatically uses low-fat milk instead of full-fat milk, which has noticeably altered the flavor and texture of the cappuccino. When I order a standard cappuccino, I expect it to be made with full-fat milk, as has been the case for years. The richness and creaminess are an essential part of what makes a cappuccino enjoyable, and the switch to low-fat milk takes away from that experience. I’m not sure if this is a new policy or just an individual preference of the current staff, but I would appreciate having the option to enjoy my cappuccino the way it has always been made. A simple clarification at the point of ordering would go a long way in maintaining the quality that loyal customers have come to expect. That said, the staff here are great, and I always appreciate their service!

16/05/2025: A delightful little pub, with tasty food, modest prices and a friendly owner (and his wife). A dish called "fisherman's pie" (or something close) was particularely yummy.
