25/02/2025: Well worth a visit if you can get a table!

20/02/2025: When lunch by chance turns into a beautiful moment... I'll start by saying that I didn't know the place nor had I ever heard of it but I can certainly say that it deserves double the 5 stars. Small and cozy and with kind, smiling, friendly and welcoming staff with a good sense of humor despite being in a hurry 😊. I came with a friend of mine and we didn't have to wait too long for a table inside despite the hour. The place is welcoming and the atmosphere feels like home. The menu is quite varied and the sight of the desserts🍰🥧 immediately made our mouths water. In defiance of my diet I had chicken goujons and my friend had brie with salad and chips for both of us. All accompanied by soft drinks, a Latte and 2 teas to top off the delicious carrot cake. Gnummy 😋Everything was excellent, both the quality/price ratio and the service/friendliness ratio. I will definitely return to try other options on the menu.😉 P.s. It was hard to resist taking away the beautiful teapots🫖😊

28/02/2025: Great location and perfect for a night away. Elaine looked after everything from arrival to checkout. Fantastic service, and the breakfast was amazing. Will be back :)

01/04/2025: This place has a soul, you can buy fresh vegetables and fruits here, as well as great coffee to grind with different flavors, there is also a sandwich bar where the choice surprised me, starting from fresh salads, ham, fish, through great sandwiches on real bread and most importantly the price, the price is in some cases more competitive than in a supermarket. I recommend, I will stop there again.

19/02/2025: lovely store - we had a generous slice of coffee cake (divine) and 2 teas to take away and enjoyed upstairs.. will defo visit again - only down side was that he girl behind the deli service the tea was not v welcoming.. she should either chin up or get another job

02/01/2025: Had high hopes for this place but was sadly let down by the service. The lady who took out order was absolutely lovely but two members of staff seemed very unhappy to be there, and made us feel very uncomfortable. Twice they asked a little boy to stop "banging" the chair despite the fact that he clearly wasn't annoying anyone but them. When a party came in late asking to be seated for lunch they very rude to them saying " lunch is over but I suppose this once we can serve you" Never been made to feel so uncomfortable in an establishment in my life. Couldn't wait to get out of there to be honest. Such a pity. Must do better, Nook

30/03/2025: The fish and chips was decent quality, but expensive at 13.50, the most expensive meal I think ... I wouldn't have minded but when I asked for mushy peas (usually comes with fish and chips) the waitress charged me an extra 2 euro!! That was bad enough but then the portion was tiny! Come on guys, at least include mushy peas with fish and chips!

13/03/2025: This cafe was busy which was a good sign. We had the roast beef with mash and plenty of veg. Good honest food and priced just right. Recommend!

01/04/2025: Got a chicken breast sandwich meal - it was delicious and took only 6 minutes to come to me. Bathrooms would be the only downside of this food place. The young man at the till was very kind and helpful. Will be visiting again!

24/09/2024: As a new resident to Bantry, I looked for a "Local". I found The Boston Bar not very welcoming to new locals, but I did observe that they welcomed visitors and tourists. I found the locals and the bar staff not to be chatty. They served a great pint, but no atmosphere. I am retired and I did not try the bar at night time. I won't be going back there again.

11/08/2024: Just watched the Hibs vs Celtic match. I felt at home. Very kind and hospitable. I hope to come back soon!
