02/11/2025: Came to celebrate a small birthday party during the wine evening. the wine was fabulous, the food was delicious, I think we would have licked the plate. There was plenty of the food and it was really well done, fresh with lots of different things and flavours.
Would highly recommend for an evening.
23/10/2025: This is one of those cute cafes that people dream about. The matcha was 10/10. The service was 10/10. My sandwich was 10/10. And the fact that dogs are allowed is the icing on top. I could not recommend this spot more.

The Golden Pheasant

30/10/2025: First time trying the golden pheasant after few years of passing and wondering. Sadly was quite underwhelming.
Felt as though it had deteriorated from what it once was, food was okay and the fact they had gluten free sandwiches available was great. Personal preference but we found the decor very tacky.
Important to mention that the customer Toilets were filthy. We were glad we had eaten before seeing them.
Great location, good coffee and pleasant surrounds
12/10/2025: Food is disappointing, specifically the cakes and pastries. It’s a nice venue, but only worth it for the beverages and scenery.

18/04/2025: Pat the owner is a gentleman. The bedroom was really spacious and nice. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful and the breakfast was very tasty 😋. Would definitely stay again 😁👍

08/11/2025: I have been going to his restuaunt takeaway fir the last 6 months and the food the service has been nothing sort outstanding. This is just the best Chinese around the whole of mallow kanturk abd the surrounding area. Had a beef curry tonight with fried rice and spare barbecue ribs, oh my word the best and I mean the vest beef curry I have ever had even in the UK. Family run lovely people give ut a try

24/09/2025: Called to this Cafe today with my 2 friends,Had 2 flat whites,coffee ,2small cream cakes,which were cold ,and tasteless,didn't even finish them 😋 at 7 euro each,pure robbery ,and no prices up ,I asked for suger,assistant said it was in wth all the sauces,WE only found 1,suger,asked again,she said they are on other tables,no help whatsoever .2 coffees ,1 tea ,2 cakes 25 euro outrageous 😳, won't be going there again 😑

14/10/2025: Stopped for lunch on my way to West Cork. Nice food and served quickly. Also very reasonable priced. Worth a visit if you're in Bandon

01/09/2025: Went to see a Saturday evening session. Music was average but the audience of 60 and 70 somethings nursing their Seven Ups all night seem to be hell bent on spoiling the younger peoples' night out with their glaring and hushing. Its an Irish pub for goodness sake. If you want to listen to music in silence spend a few Euro and go to the Opera. House.
The manageress who seemed to support this nonsense seemed to be trying to deliver the impossible for zero financial benefit.
