05/05/2025: This is a great pub with an unbelievable view. Amazing place to enjoy a pint or two at sunset. I want to thank all the welcoming, honest and deeply kindhearted people we met on this beautiful sunny day in Eyeries. They made visiting this picturesque town an unforgettable experience. 26/04/2025: Great spot for a nice pint. A bit dated inside, but very friendly. The big star is the incredible view from the extensive terrace at the back. Not to be missed if in the area!

12/04/2025: Made a stop here on our way to Bantry, just about a week ago. Lovely people and very delicious scones. We had to move on so the lovely girl prepared me a scone for on the way. Unfortunately, my wife ate it, so I had to go back for another one… cheers from the Netherlands😘

30/05/2025: Gasthaus mit gutem Restaurant an sehr zentraler Lage in Kinsale. Das Zimmer war trotzdem ruhig und komfortabel. Jedoch nicht für Leute mit Gehbeeinträchtigung geeignet (schmale Treppen). Gutes Frühstück und auch sehr gutes Restaurant für Abendessen. Parkplatz hinter dem Haus.

12/05/2025: The White House prides itself on being a AA Guesthouse, Restaurant & Bar. We decided to have dinner there. My wife and I had the Fish & Chips with local Sovereign Island lagers and glasses of Blacks Maple Mayhem Irish Whiskey. Dinner was wonderful, relaxing in a quaint environment. Not sure about other restaurants since it is a small village/town, but this a pretty good option.

18/04/2025: Pat the owner is a gentleman. The bedroom was really spacious and nice. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful and the breakfast was very tasty 😋. Would definitely stay again 😁👍

29/04/2025: Pretty authentic Mexican food, of which the Birria tacos are the absolute star. They are tender and greasy in all the good ways, and the dipping sauce is phenomenal. They also offer some sparkling juice drinks that are refreshing. Portions are decent. All dishes come takeaway. There's upstairs seating but feels like a quiet cafeteria or library.

15/03/2025: Popped in here today after seeing they sponsored the clonakilty rally. 4 of us had food and drinks and it was really good.

05/05/2025: Disappointing interaction with management We visited with a group of friends and really enjoyed the atmosphere—bar staff were friendly and the live singer was a lovely touch. However, our experience was soured by an uncomfortable interaction with a member of the management team. While some of our group were dancing, two of us stayed at the table. A manager approached and told us we couldn’t take up a full table if the venue was busy. We were understanding and said we’d move our belongings to make space for others. What felt inappropriate was the follow-up comment implying we weren’t ordering enough drinks. I pointed to a full glass of wine infront of my friend and she laughed and said is that between the two of you. The tone felt unnecessarily harsh and made us feel unwelcome. Sadly, we chose to leave shortly after. It’s unfortunate, as the rest of the evening had been enjoyable up until that point.

07/04/2025: Got verbally abused by staff on Stephen’s Day 2024. You lost a customer.

13/05/2025: This pub charged €6.50 for a pint of Coors. The craic was mighty with Derek Burke music. The service wasn't great. Des the barman was sullen and never broke a smile all day. Apparently his own best customer as he even said he was drinking all day. We left some very good money there and felt his attitude was terrible. We went back the next day and the pint was €6.00 . So apparently yesterday we were paying for the music with the extra 50c per pint. This is disgraceful. We love coming to Cobh, but will not return to the Mauratania.

18/03/2025: The pub is quite small inside, located on the Main Street front of the sea. It is nice to have sitting table outside and be able to enjoy the sun (when there is sun..). Friendly dog place, you can ask for a water bowl.

21/02/2025: What an incredible restaurant! We happened upon it by chance and everything was top class! We ordered several items on the menu- all surpassed expectations! Terrific Guinness! A casual stroll in Schull ended with a very classy, delicious and friendly experience!

21/02/2025: Absolutely outstanding food and pints- the beef roast, mussels, and sticky toffee pudding were all delicious, and I had one of the best pints of Guinness I ever had. The service was great as well- a perfect dining experience all around!

01/01/2025: The most amazing coffee in youghal, staff are so nice and friendly, my dog loves it and drags me in there no matter what. So, from the owner to management and amazing staff I look forward to 2025 and the little beach across the street is ideal for some peace and quiet.
