We had ordered black pepper chicken with prawns fried rice and chicken fried rice, hot and sour chicken soup and chicken wings. Every dish was delicious Service: quick Ambience: cozy

23/03/2025: The atmosphere is very ritzy. Mind you it was lunch and was laid back, and the staff was very friendly, but based on most of the people eating there when we walked in, it seemed that they had a certain clientele base that typically dines there. I would imagine had it been either a weekend, or dinner, it would have been a different story. As far as the food, it was great. Why only four stars then? I ordered the Roasted West Cork Hake Fillet. It ios not often that I get seafood, and when I do, it isn't typically "fresh" per se as I live in a landlocked state. So being in a country where fresh is taken to a whole new level, I figured I would have some fresh seafood. The seafood was very fresh. The only thing disparaging for me was that on the menu it stated that there were Black Shell Mussels as part of the dish. And while there were in fact mussels in the dish, there were only two which was a bit disappointing for me (I love mussels). The quality, the freshness, the taste of everything was great, but for as much food that was there, to only get two mussels seemed kind of stingy.

28/08/2024: Very nice and cozy place. Everything we tasted was delicious. We ordered the crab meat soup, and it was amazing. We also ordered Thai green curry, one with tofu and one with chicken, which was great. It's a perfect place for gluten-free and lactose-intolerant people like me.

28/02/2025: One day, it’s the best fish and chips in all of Ireland; the next, it’s the worst. The quality of the fish is always high, but the execution is wildly inconsistent. I genuinely don’t understand why it fluctuates so much, sometimes it’s amazing, other times it’s terrible.

20/09/2024: Lovely little bar with traditional music pretty much daily. Was here on a previous trip to Ireland, made sure to return. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Also, there's a public free parking lot super close; that was a nice surprise.

13/03/2025: I’ve been coming to this café for years and have always enjoyed my usual order—a cappuccino. The consistency and quality have always been excellent, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. However, I’ve recently noticed a change in taste. After paying closer attention, I realized that the barista now automatically uses low-fat milk instead of full-fat milk, which has noticeably altered the flavor and texture of the cappuccino. When I order a standard cappuccino, I expect it to be made with full-fat milk, as has been the case for years. The richness and creaminess are an essential part of what makes a cappuccino enjoyable, and the switch to low-fat milk takes away from that experience. I’m not sure if this is a new policy or just an individual preference of the current staff, but I would appreciate having the option to enjoy my cappuccino the way it has always been made. A simple clarification at the point of ordering would go a long way in maintaining the quality that loyal customers have come to expect. That said, the staff here are great, and I always appreciate their service!

I know the owner and can attest that he’s just the loveliest, kindest gent of a man who cares deeply about preserving this legacy! Wonderful staff and music that flows steady as the pints — what else can one ask for?!

30/09/2024: I got chicken chow mein and to tell you I could have made it nicer and cheaper at home is saying something and I'm not Asian. We were on a wkend break with the girls and one of use collected to order for us. We'll the noodles were way over cooked and the chicken looked as if it was thrown in and that's all I had. So sauce as it was so so thick on soggy noodles that it was a dry sickening meal to eat. I wasted €10 on that crap when I could have made it for half the price at home. No more takeaways for me as they are not worth it anymore. The food outside has gone so far down hill in quality and taste that its not worth it. My friends meals were nice but I'm not taking that chance. No vegetables not even onions just noodles and chicken. This was only on Friday 27th September 2024. I had to throw the whole thing away as it was so disgusting I wouldn't even feed to a rat, he probably wouldn't eat it either come to think of it. No point in doing the place up to dish out crap food. Very disappointed customer here. I only gave one star out of politeness otherwise in my option of what I received they don't even deserve that as I've eaten there many a time and it was delicious but food is gone to he'll in a hand basket since 2020. There isn't many good and nice food places anymore. It's a pitty.

06/04/2025: Love it, serious food! Fresh fish and the burgers are unreal. Whenever we go down, it's always visited and never disappointing. Great place.

27/02/2025: Unfortunately that was the worst fish and chips we've ever had. Half the fries were inedible and whatever little fish there was had no taste at all. Service wasn't great either. At least it was cheap. Won't be coming back.
