We had lovely family meal here Friday night celebrate my son finished 1st year for the summer now. Had 3 children and my husband we had nice food and drinks staff very friendly gave me extra bread rolls my daughter wanted with soup. Dessert was just devine. Will be back again soon

Yummy traditional Sunday roast comfort food from the carvery in a gorgeous setting. So happy we can walk to this place! Staff is super friendly, chef Tony is so kind and cooks delicious food.

I stay in the talbot hotels which a lot. Unfortunately this was dissapointed on food and drinks selection. While hotel is clean and unfurbished, room services wasn't great. In three days no additional towel no tidy and no toilet paper even though we asked. I do know think is a hotel worth its price.

We booked a table for February 14 three weeks in advance at Bar 89, but we were seated in a different hall. We made the reservation early expecting to sit where we had booked, not wherever there happened to be a free table. The waiters and the kitchen did a great job, but what’s the point of taking reservations if they’re not honored?

We were running late so they let us call our order in so to not miss out on dinner. The half chicken was delicious! Service was a little slow but I can understand they were winding down for the night. Great atmosphere around.

Regular customer to the hotel with friends and family .always a pleasure. Many a county music night there as well. Got married 19 years ago in this hotel. Had a beautiful day.

10/05/2026: Obnoxious woman at the till, which is a shame as the food was amazing, especially the smash burger, curry sauce and chips are very nice as well. Experience when ordering did however put a damper on everything.
22/04/2026: I got, I ordered a fish supper very nice and a generous size chunky and fresh plenty for two people

01/11/2025: Firstly, a huge thank you to Brendan. My return from last year for 3 wonderful nights and plan to return next year. Supremely clean and comfortable rooms. A cozy traditional pub lies below rooms. A few minute walk into Midelton town centre. A 3 minute walk to train station which will have you into Cork City Centre in 22 minutes. Thanks to a terrific staff and the friendly locals who frequent this gem of a pub.
