29/10/2024: Bring back the Ronnie sicks 😫. A Base with garlic cheese and covered in tiny pieces of pepperoni, they were the best thing on the menu before the bean counters got a hold of the business. The four seasons pizza 🍕 was also a treasure. Only those at the beginning of Oak Fire Pizza journey had the privilege of tasting that beauty. 😋 Go on, Ronnie, bring them back, ya legend. From the couple who were always in, in Clonakilty and Bandon branches.

01/02/2025: Good food and friendly service, one callout however is the lower level dining area seems adjacent to kitchen which was venting into the dining area, coats etc now need a wash to remove the grease smell
19/01/2025: Can't say enough good things about Nico's. First time there last night and both Holly and Mick made us feel like we were regulars popping in for our weekly visit 😅 the food was sensational - we had the chicken liver paté and the gubbeen cheese parcels to start then for mains we had the pan fried hake and the pork medallions (photos explain what I can not - incredible dishes with perfectly complimented flavours). Then there was the apple crumble dessert which we we thought we were too full to eat - that got polished off within a minute or two. Highly recommend Nico's to anyone in the area, you won't be disappointed!

If you just want to enjoy your drinks peacefully its a perfect pub.. mostly you will see mature crowd in this pub.

10/11/2024: We had a truly delightful meal here on Thursday. 5 of us ate well and we were entertained while doing so! My friends son was enthralled with the pizza making and was treated to a quick pizza making class! I'll be back next time I'm in cobh.

28/03/2025: Great Hong Kong style cafe. They offer nice Chinese roasts, Chinese bakery, a variety of plated rice and noodle dishes and other a la carte dishes. Food is authentic and flavoursome. The Chinese roast is of a good standard. The staff are friendly. It is always busy so it is quite a nice atmosphere. For some, it maybe a bit noisy. The price is reasonable. They do not add service charge by default, it is discretionary. It’s a great place to get some yummy Chinese food with minimum of fuzz. Highly recommended.

24/12/2024: Every single time I have eaten here (which is 3 or 4 times now) I have waited over an hour for food. Food is ok but not worth waiting that long for. Won’t be coming back
13/10/2024: Very disappointed. Had to ask for gravy as it was not given with the meal and food was cold, they forgot to give my wife the soup that was orderer so we had to ask. Forgot to give us the tea we ordered, had to ask for it then we had to ask for milk. Every one gets water with their meal but even though they offered we didn’t get it. Won’t be going back.

26/09/2024: Had lunch here today the 26/09/23 it was absolutely lovely we both had the Beef onion and mushrooms Panini with chips it really was a lush lunch . They are also pet friendly which was a massive plus for us as our boxer Olive goes everywhere with us , they even brought water out for her thank you so much for making us all feel welcomed.

Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We stumbled in on a day trip to Kinsale. Despite not having a reservation, they were able to squeeze us in. Two other couples after us were not as lucky, definitely call ahead and make a reservation. Ashley (host/bartender) walked us through the menu, made recommendations, and helped us decide on our wine for the evening. We can’t stop talking about how good the food was.
30/03/2025: Best pizza I Kinsale. Mackerel pizza (I know!?) Is amazing. Always get a few starters to share and don't know where they get their tomatoes but they are always v tasty.
Setting feels a bit like a ski resort for some reason and table always feels intimate.
Downsized a bit recently but retained it's charm.
Old well is really interesting too
Staff are always friendly
