22/08/2024: Good range of stock, well located with plenty of fresh local veg, But! apart from the usual 'bargain' discounts this place is not cheap. Must be a gold mine for the owners. Price gouging is an issue here. August example: slices of watermelon for €2.50 !

22/10/2024: We ate a very good monkfish there. The atmosphere was very familiar, you could see from an hour away that we were the only tourists. Everything was very good and they were very nice

15/09/2024: Family night out , down in cork for tour de beara cycle . Food was amazing, I had the bacon and cabbage, memories of my mother. Our waitress was fantastic, we were fed and watered 10 out of 10 .. a definite return visit.

30/09/2024: I got chicken chow mein and to tell you I could have made it nicer and cheaper at home is saying something and I'm not Asian. We were on a wkend break with the girls and one of use collected to order for us. We'll the noodles were way over cooked and the chicken looked as if it was thrown in and that's all I had. So sauce as it was so so thick on soggy noodles that it was a dry sickening meal to eat. I wasted €10 on that crap when I could have made it for half the price at home. No more takeaways for me as they are not worth it anymore. The food outside has gone so far down hill in quality and taste that its not worth it. My friends meals were nice but I'm not taking that chance. No vegetables not even onions just noodles and chicken. This was only on Friday 27th September 2024. I had to throw the whole thing away as it was so disgusting I wouldn't even feed to a rat, he probably wouldn't eat it either come to think of it. No point in doing the place up to dish out crap food. Very disappointed customer here. I only gave one star out of politeness otherwise in my option of what I received they don't even deserve that as I've eaten there many a time and it was delicious but food is gone to he'll in a hand basket since 2020. There isn't many good and nice food places anymore. It's a pitty.

22/06/2024: If you are in County Cork do yourself a favour and make the trip to Bandon for a drink at Kilmartin Bar. I was looking for an Irish Pub and found a good place for a Beamish and a chat .. the locals are LOCAL and that is always the way to find out what the local "craic" is .. a great afternoon watering hole.

We went for drive in the afternoon coz weather was glorious & of course looking forward for fish &Chips but guys sorry for giving this reviews... But yesterday's experience was disappointing...what went wrong here??🫣...we ordered 3 adult portions of fish and chips 😩Fish&Chips we're undercooked/Soggy /oily 😔etc.

21/08/2024: Only a two star review on this occasion, was there a few days back, got a cheese and ham toastie, boy, what a disappointment, won't get that again, that is, if i ever return. Four small triangle sandwiches on the thinnest brown bread you can get. Processed ham and cheese slices, no side salad I think twas either €7.95 or € 8.95 can't remember, but it wasn't worth €3,95 two very small cups of tea out of the dinky tea pot. I have to say, it is unusual as this place was better, unless I got them on a bad day. Friendly, courteous staff, as always. But don't order the cheese and ham toastie. The selection of other foods was Very good.
