15/03/2026: Major downgrade in food quality since the management takeover. Lamb was like a rubber, I don't think anyone can chew through it. We used to love this place for curry dishes and biryani, now not even eatable. I woild like to ask the owner to chew through that lamb and then sell it to others. Waste of money!

25/02/2026: Since the change in management, the food quality has noticeably improved ,everything tastes fresher and better prepared. The environment is very friendly and welcoming too.

22/03/2026: After a customer witnessed staff members bullying and elderly gentleman. Taunting him asking him was he the man that was found down by the river.. They were laughing at him and mocking him. Shame on them. Support Irish businesses from now on.

23/02/2026: Was a customer here for the last 2 years. After this evening, no more. Recieved chicken skewers that were inedible and ended up in the bin. Rang the restaurant and the aggression on the phone was ridiculous. “No, No, No!!” When I explained about the chicken skewers. He said I will ring you back and hung up. No call so rang back and he said no refund for you I give you something next time and I said no I will take the refund as we paid for something we could not even eat and he hung up the phone. So so rude. Usually there is a lovely girl on the desk but tonight it was an angry aggressive man. STAY CLEAR!

01/11/2025: Good value for money with the Munchie box coming out to €24 with 2 cans of coke Over all very nice, chicken strips and wings were a lil bit bland but everything else was very nice, giant tub of hot curry sauce to help it all go down. If you have a case of the munchies I recommend this 👍

16/11/2025: Me and my uncle were visiting from Belgium and were really looking forward to a nice chicken chow mein. We’re used to the European-style version — grilled, well-seasoned chicken with some soy flavour and crisp vegetables. Unfortunately, the chow mein we received here in Bantry was nothing like that. It was more like a wet, sloppy roast dinner, very soft and gooey, and after a few bites we just couldn’t eat it. I’m genuinely sorry to say it, but it was really disappointing.

02/02/2026: The worst Mc Donald's in the Country. My order here has been messed up before but this time was the worse ever. Left nuggets and cheeseburger out of the bag Went back in with the receipt, handed a bag with a hamburger and nuggets. Literally give up on this place.

26/01/2026: We had an unpleasant experience of ordering some takeaway on 15th of January using the Preferred "YoYo" app. Our charges went through and we popped round to Spice about 40 minutes later... Only to see a sign on the door that says "closed for remodeling until 1 February." Nobody was at the restaurant, and nobody has answered the phone, so we're still out €60 for food we didn't get. I hope I'll be able to change this review or update it if I receive a refund.

My family and I have been loyal, weekly customers of this establishment for over two years. During that time, the food was consistently of a good standard and the service reliable. Unfortunately, in recent months there has been a noticeable and concerning decline in both quality and customer service. On several occasions, the food has arrived in poor condition — burgers burnt, chips undercooked, and overall standards well below what we previously experienced. Delivery times have also become increasingly unacceptable, with orders arriving over an hour late. Last week, our order was mistakenly delivered to a neighbour, who had already opened the food before realising it was not theirs. We contacted the restaurant to understand what had happened and spoke with Mohamed, who apologised sincerely and assured us that, as valued long-term customers, t It is most unfortunate that I need to post this review of uncle sams in killeagh cork. We have been frequent customers of this fast food establishment for more than 2 years on a weekly basis. The food used to be of a good standard, but recently the food quality has deteriorated to an awful standard. Burnt burgers, chips barely cooked, delivery orders over an hour late. On several occasions, the food has arrived in poor condition — burgers burnt, chips undercooked, and overall standards well below what we previously experienced. Delivery times have also become increasingly unacceptable, with orders arriving over an hour late. Last week, our order was mistakenly delivered to a neighbour, who had already opened the food before realising it was not theirs. We contacted the restaurant to understand what had happened and spoke with Mohamed, who apologised sincerely and assured us that, as valued long-term customers, the cost of our next order would be covered as a gesture of goodwill. The following week, out of respect for the hard work of the staff and in the hope that the previous issues were a once-off, I decided to give them another opportunity and paid the full €40 for our order rather than referencing the promised gesture. Our delivery was scheduled for 7:50pm, but it did not arrive. When I phoned the restaurant, I was told it would be at least another 40 minutes due to them being “very busy.” While I understand that restaurants can experience peak periods, repeated delays combined with declining food quality and poor communication reflect a serious lack of customer care. The manner in which my concerns were handled during that call felt dismissive and unprofessional. It is deeply disappointing to see a once-reliable local business fall to this standard. Loyalty should be valued, and basic service standards maintained. Regrettably, based on our recent experiences, I can no longer recommend this establishment.
