The best restaurants in Cork

19/05/2025: For my birthday I was given a 150 euro voucher to get a message and after have some lunch. The spa experience was amazing, the girl gave me the message was really talented, however after my great experience in the spa I had 25 euro remaining for some lunch in the hotel lounge called Amber. I order the steak sandwich which looked amazing when it was delivered to my table. I quickly realized tho that the steak cuts were very fatty, the whole time I eat it I had to constantly remove fat. It was very disappointing as this is a 5 star hotel. In my opinion you should not get fat on your steak sandwich which costed me by the way 22 euro. So yeah very disappointed with that. I would of spoke up but I was under pressure to get back home. Spa was amazing but I genuinely felt left down getting a 5 star hotel experience with the lunch.

06/05/2025: One of the younger staff dropped red sauce on my 10 month old baby (accidents happen) but the manager was rude and didn't bother to speak to us even though the restaurant was quiet. It wasn't what I would expect from a restaurant in a fancy hotel. One of the staff Jose was lovely and very attentive. Honestly the food was fine I just didn't enjoy it because of the service and it was 100 eur for 2 mains, a kids starter and 2 drinks.

13/05/2025: The delivery really took 90 minutes to arrive to an address 5 minutes away and then had an incompetent driver bring the wrong food. I want my money back. Never again!!!

12/05/2025: No chips or drink paid 17 euro I’ll call in the next day.

06/03/2025: I recently ordered from Apache Pizza, and I was very impressed! The pizza was of great quality, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the excellent service I received from Alina. She was incredibly nice and helpful, making the whole process smooth and pleasant. I'd definitely recommend Apache Pizza in Bandon, and a special thanks to Alina for her fantastic service.

10/07/2025: Very good food. It tastes even better when eating in. Takeaway is good. But far nicer eating in instead of waiting for it to be delivered. Great selection on the menu. Andy and the rest of the staff are always chatty and friendly.

04/07/2025: We recently ordered from Jumbo’s Chinese and have to say—the spice bag was absolutely lovely! Full of flavour, just the right kick of spice, and cooked to perfection. Definitely one of the better spice bags we’ve had in the area. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more pleasant. That said, we ordered two spice bags and it came to €27, which honestly feels way too expensive. €13.50 for a single spice bag is hard to justify, especially when similar quality can be found elsewhere for less. We understand times are tough, but this price point may drive regular customers away. We’d love to keep supporting Jumbo’s—please consider bringing the prices down a bit. Many of us just can’t keep paying that much, no matter how tasty the food

30/06/2025: Cheapest food for the highest quality. Don’t let it fool you there is fish n chips and the all works + Asian dishes. Multiple locals recommended me this place before we came

24/06/2025: A very generous portion of fresh large prawns for €13.50 with the Sweet and Sour Hong Kong style tasty filling delicious. A nice balance of mixed veg and pineapple was a nice addition. It was quiet so the waiting time was very quick. Served by a very nice waitress. You have to order your side separately so when ordering don't forget to ask what the meal includes . The boiled rice was €3.50 and just the right amount to compliment the sweet and sour sauce. It would be nice to see some authentic visual art or decor inside. Other than that top quality food served generously in a nice clean relaxing takeaway restaurant with plenty of seating and tables. Looking forward to trying more from the very vast selections on the menu as there are a lot of meals to select from.

29/07/2024: Fries not crispy. McDonald's style hamburger. They don't have beer, they don't have glasses. Poor hygiene of the rooms and bathroom.

20/01/2025: We ordered a Pizza a burger and wedges last Saturday night, January 18th. The only positive was the delivery driver and quick delivery time. The food was worse than a dogs dinner, the Burger was burnt to crisp like it had been taken to hell with the devil and back. Disgusting and not edible, I genuinely wouldn't and didn't feed it to my dogs. The pizza was slightly better but that is not saying much. It was also burnt on the underside it might have dodged the trip to hell the burger enjoyed but it was definitely overcooked. I am still waiting on the wedges. Very disappointing and to be honest I have ordered from here in the past and it has been okay. But seriously how can you even think to send food out like that, It smacks of carelessness and awful customer service. I will not order from here again. 30 euro for the pleasure. No thanks.
