10/06/2025: And that one star was out of sympathy.......best Bad Really Bad ………Actually ….Badder then Bad……..best takeaway in west cork........are you having a laugh.......it's one of the worst takeaway I've had in Ireland....let alone cork......don't have the fried chicken whatever you do ......soaking with Grease .... tasteless and the consistency of rubber......all the other food came from frozen.....even the chips........the food was hanging.........avoid this place

06/08/2025: Horrible food and arrogant service. I was there with my family. No food was served even after one and a half hours and when asked the owner shouted on us saying it is obvious that it will take minimum 2 hours for him to prepare food. That's interesting. When the food was finally served awful taste. We left everything on the table and left. THIS IS NOT AN INDIAN RESTAURANT OR INDIAN TASTE. ITS PAKISTANI FOOD. Just adding the local curry sauces to prepare food. This is not how Indian Cuisine is prepared. Never recommend anyone to this place.

20/08/2025: If you're a kebab fan, this place is perfect for you. The service is incredibly friendly. Even when they have a ton of orders at the same time, they're always friendly to customers who sometimes aren't so friendly to them. If you see a bad review here, don't believe it. I've lived here for several years and have always been served quickly and in a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

20/08/2025: My favourite takeaway in Cobh, because they have the best all 3- Best Pizzas, Best Burgers, & Best Kebabs. I find they also have the most reasonable pricing for their food, compared to other takeaways here who charge an arm & a leg. Always quick delivery too.

05/08/2025: Absolutely Filthy – Avoid at All Costs We travelled all the way from Cork to Dursey, and on our way back stopped in Glengarriff. It was a busy weekend, and with dogs in tow, we decided to grab a quick bite rather than sit down in the lovely restaurant across the road. Unfortunately, we chanced The Black Cat. Big mistake. To those giving this place five-star reviews: I’m genuinely baffled. Either we walked into a completely different establishment, or standards have hit rock bottom. Let’s start with the cleanliness (or lack of it). The place is absolutely filthy. Tables were sticky, the kitchen looked grimy, and the drawer they keep the plastic cutlery in was caked in dirt. Not just dusty—filthy. It clearly hasn’t seen a proper deep clean in weeks, maybe months. A full-scale bleaching and degreasing wouldn’t go amiss. Now, the food. We paid €18 for fish and chips—which I’d be happy to pay if it was remotely decent. It wasn’t. The fish was dripping in grease, the onion rings were a joke, and there were no mushy peas unless you asked. When we did ask, they brought out a half tub each like it was a luxury. The worst part? The fish had bones in it. Not small, hard-to-spot bones—big, obvious ones. Completely unacceptable, especially if you’re feeding kids. I work in the food industry myself, and it’s clear this fish was not prepped properly. Pathetic. The staff were no better. Disengaged, unprofessional, and too busy on their phones while we had to approach the counter every time we needed something. Meanwhile, tables left dirty from previous customers just sat there. No rush to clean. No basic pride in the place. And don’t get me started on the ice cream counter—looked like an afterthought. The handwritten and scribbled-over menu was just as messy as everything else. Plastic cutlery that somehow still managed to feel dirty? How is that even possible? To the owners: if you can’t step up, maybe it’s time to step down. This place could have potential, but right now, it’s an embarrassment. We won’t be back.

07/06/2025: I was there this afternoon a female staff member got my order wrong she put extremely spicy sauce on my sub I took a bite and it burned my mouth and lips I dumped it in the bin. I don’t understand how hard it is to follow the instructions she seemed pleasant but it’s not good enough and I didn’t see any manager today about it he wasn’t there. Absolute Waste of time and money. Can the staff and manager stop pulling the card machine away before it’s finished being used my card was blocked before because of this. It would also be great if they were nicer to the public not pick and chose who to be nice to and rude to. Do better all across the board much better.
