20/11/2025: One girl behind the counter stood with her back to us the entire time we ordered food from the nicer waitress. She did not speak to us, and had a frown when we greeted her at the door. No idea what her problem was but we won’t be back due to this one experience. Shame as the food was nice

05/11/2025: Spent over €40 in this shop yesterday, only to wait 40 minutes for half warm food with hair in it. Staff are terrible, no refund offered. Tbh disgusting. Staff have no clue regarding hygiene towards food. This place has gone to the dogs. Genuinely would make you feel unwell and sick.

25/08/2025: We rang our food in there was a lovely lady who was very nice down the phone and in person great atmosphere inside here and great food me and my freind would definitely come back would give 10 star but it only go's up to 5

Toilets are provided for the public and they are spotless. Good for people who travel for work. Unfortunately the hot deli food is very average and that’s being charitable.

23/08/2025: It was a bit disappointing, because I saw the previous reviews and I was expecting something good. I ordered one portion of dumplings, one sichuan chicken and side of stir fried noodles. That’s how supposed to come the order, first the dumplings and then the chicken and noodles. First it take 30 minutes to come and the first dish wash the stir fried noodles only, after 5 minutes the chicken than was more onions than chicken and was not with sichuan pepper, it was just a sugar chilli sauce, and the dumplings was the “desert”. Terrible service and terrible food.

15/11/2025: The presumed owner is absolutely miserable. Went in tonight and sat in the corner with my wife at a little 2 person table while I had a pint and she had a water (she’s pregnant) before we went home for the night. We were only there about 20 minutes and I was more than halfway through my pint when the owner came over and told us if we’re not both spending money then we had to leave. In all my 35 years of visiting pubs all over Ireland I’ve never ever seen this sort of behaviour. If the owner is reading this just know you are miserable and you alienated a pregnant woman

08/10/2025: Easily the best local pub in Kinsale. The owners are great craic, and the pint of Guinness the best in town by a country mile. Really enjoyed the couple of nights that I spent here.

19/10/2025: A quiet October Sunday night in Glengarriff, so it was great to enter a place that served great seafood. This was really good. If you want to taste and eat quality seafood , this is as good as it gets. I had fresh scallops and my wife had pan fried monkfish. Both amazing !🤩 My scallops were easily the best I have ever eaten. You could taste the freshness in them. Top class food and a lovely sense of old style Irishness service to go with it. Super👍👍

02/11/2025: Best 'Fresh' Fish & Chips in Bantry town. Never disappointed, also you can sit down & relax when life gives you lemons too! Always Clean Oil, Fresh Batter even a widescreen TV couldn't ask for any better! These girls definitely work hard to deliver such Top Quality Food !! 😋

16/09/2025: Very pleasant experience! 4 main dishes and 4 sides only took about 20 minutes to prepare. On top of that, some extras were thrown in free of charge. Delicious food, good value, lovely staff, would 11/10 recommend!!

17/09/2025: Pub was advertised as open (3PM Wed, 17th Sep 2025, however, when we got there none of the doors would open and not a sign of life. Very annoying as getting a park was difficult and some distance.

25/11/2025: One of the few nearby restaurants open on Monday evenings. You can get many popular Irish dishes here at reasonable prices. The fish is well-seasoned and thickly breaded. The fries are standard and served with a tasty sauce. The burger is loaded with cheese, and the beef itself is juicy. The portions are huge, so you can easily fill up. I recommend it.
