Fantastic meal with excellent service. Visited this evening with our 2 year old - he was made very welcome, the food was very quick and was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend - thank you so much!

We had a late lunch today and it was fantastic. Another patron recommended the fish chowder so we got a small cup with our other orders each. Everything was super fresh (crab sandwich on brown bread was delicious as was the pan fried haddock), the salads divine but the chowder was exceptionally good. In fact it was not enough so we ordered full portions to take home for dinner and we loved every bite! Elegant space and very friendly service as well.

We were mistaken for tourists...which we were, and there were only locals on December 1st...but they served me cod, trying to make me believe that it was the haddock that I ordered...it was really bad.

Well well what a great surprise to find such a lovely and comforting restaurant such as Breens. Really felt like visiting your old grandmother's or Aunty's house in days of old, food was spectacular, decor is vintage, just like it was back then, probably the nicest mushroom sauce and chicken dinner I've ever had out which is a very hard task to find these days. The icing on the cake was using old King's cutlery, just that extra touch of finesse. Highly recommend.

12/03/2024: Excellent accomodation! We travelled with an 8 month and 4 year old, Maria and the team made sure we were very well looked after. The room was spacious, quiet and cleaned everyday, we had complimentary cookies on arrival for the kids, the breakfast the next morning was top notch and we were allowed to book a suitable time before open! The B&B is the in centre of everything with a gorgeous pier view, food in the restaurant below was delicious. We will definitely come here again and highly recommend to others who would like to visit Castletownbere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Murphy's Restaurant

29/03/2024: Great food, we had the pan fried hake und the special salmon of the day. It was really delicious. Service is lovely and attentive. Pass by if your in town!
04/03/2024: Thought I'd better try out some local fish dish, and they did not disappoint. Spot on food and service. They even let me bring my wee dog in, too. Thanks, guys.
