Brick Oven in Bantry legal town

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but the staff managed to find us a table, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the pizza itself was disappointing. Considering it is cooked in a wood-fired oven, we expected a nicely baked, slightly crispy base and crust. Instead, the dough was very soft and had the texture and appearance of being undercooked in places. It just didn't have the crispness or flavour we would normally expect from a proper wood-fired pizza. We didn't mention it to the staff at the time as we were in a hurry and had a long drive home ahead of us, so we simply ate what we could and left. The place was very busy and clearly popular, and the staff were accommodating, but based on the pizza we were served, unfortunately our experience didn't live up to the expectations.

It is always a pleasure to dine at the Brick Oven. We normally opt to sit it, but have on occasion gotten takeaway. Everything is always perfect. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. It is a lovely restaurant with fantastic staff. Highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant 5 adults all different tastes and a very varied menu catered for all. Service was speedy too. Fish and chips was delicious

We came from Spain to visit West Cork and ate at this restaurant three times. That says it all. It's fantastic.

Tasty food at a great price in the heart of Bantry

This was the tastiest meal of a week in Ireland, and we had some great ones. If you want a great meal, head to the busy place where people are waiting… this place is clearly so popular there was a line of chairs in the street for folk to wait for a table to come free. We rocked up early in the evening and got in but reservations would be a better idea. My hake with prawn ratatouille was OUTSTANDING. The pizza looked great too
