Absolute seod of a traditional pub in Cobh. Properly cozy atmosphere, locals and staff who actually seem happy you’re there, and then there’s Candy the dog—who immediately becomes the main event and steals the entire show. Pints poured like they mean it, solid craic, and one of those rare stops that sticks with you. Perfect if you want to dodge the cruise ship tourist crowds. Easily one of the best in town.

We liked the decor and music as we walked by, so we went in and had two pints of Black Guinness. The waitress served them perfectly. Excellent. €11.60

Without doubt one of the friendliest, most welcoming pubs I've ever been too. The Guinness and Murphy's were out of this world!

A small pub on the edge of the city center. Drink prices were moderate—if you can even say that about an Irish pub anymore. We didn't eat anything. The landlord was very friendly, and we quickly struck up conversations with the regulars. Being from Germany wasn't a problem at all; on the contrary, almost everyone had some connection to Germany, for example, as a sailor. We enjoyed our pint and had a good time.

17/10/2026: When I walked in the door, I said "wow" because of a beautiful restaurant with amazing views. Straight away a waiter (restaurant manager ?) dealt with us swiftly and professionally. What a beautiful restaurant, over the water with an outside waterside terrace. Sliding doors for when the weather is bad. While reading the menus, a waitress asks if we would like a drink. Perfect question while deciding what we will choose. This is the kind of restaurant service that is becoming rare in Ireland. Drinks arrive and we are ready to order. Perfect timing all round. I would expect to pay a premium price for the professional service and the location, but no ... the restaurant price point is the same as any normal restaurant. This was a lovely experience. Thank you.
