Great place to relax and have a drink. We perhaps made a wrong choice of Irish Coffee - not a fan, but don’t think that’s about this bar in particular. Having said that, great staff and service who went the extra mile to get us our order. Decent seating space inside and a patio outside where people relaxed. If you have a car, then you can park along the street. Definitely recommended.

Kinsale started to fill in quick, so I decided to move on and swing back through Cobh to catch anything I might have missed the first time. The drive over was easy enough, but finding a spot near the water took some patience. Once I got settled, I ducked into The Mauretania, a small, no-frills pub that felt like it had been there forever. Ordered a Jameson with lime and ginger ale and took a seat. Simple drink, but it hit right, gave me a minute to reset and get my bearings before heading back out. Felt like the right call stepping away from the crowd and easing back into a slower pace.

Had a great time when our cruise ship visited. Say hello to a local I met and drank pints with - his name was Mitch.

BellaVista Hotel

28/05/2026: Clean. Lots of different options for the number of beds in each room. Great view of the bay and cathedral
12/05/2026: Very good accommodation. Nice Chinese restaurant within the hotel. Easy walk to the harbour. Rooms were quite clean and the person on reception is friendly and gives local recommendations. We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved our stay.

Ryans Pub Cobh

13/06/2026: We loved this bar! The owners were warm and very welcoming! We ended up going here three or four times during our visit to Cobh. We tried going to a couple of the other bars in town, and did not experience the same warmth. Paul, the owner, was awesome! You couldn’t ask for a friendlier place!
04/06/2026: Popped into this quite pub to grab some drinks. The hospitality was excellent. Lots of smiles and some Irish humor. Needless to say my family and I spent that afternoon and the next being treated like family. Highly recommend the atmosphere!
