Fishy Fishy in Kinsale

Fishy Fishy is an outstanding seafood restaurant and absolutely worth the visit. The seafood chowder is a must-try—rich, full of flavour, and one of the best I’ve had. The restaurant is always busy, but there’s a good reason for that. The food is fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavour. The place is clean, well run, and the staff handle the busy atmosphere very well. Without a doubt, one of the best seafood restaurants we’ve eaten at in Ireland. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and I would go back again

Everything was good…but a little pricy, likely due to the location.

We went there for dinner a few days ago. The staff was friendly, especially to the children, but seemed stressed. When we asked if it was possible to get a smaller portion, the response was that yes, it was possible, but at full price. The local "monkfish" turned out to be just plain fish and chips. Overall, it wasn't good value for money. There are better fish restaurants.

We visited Kinsale and Fishy Fishy on the advice of a friend: Kinsale is unbelievably beautiful and picturesque. Fishy Fishy was equally memorable and enjoyable. Ali, our server, provided wonderful and welcoming service, which made our experience special. The food was incredible, which was definitely a highlight of our visit to Kinsale. We had oysters, lobster, fish, and other appetizers. Each dish was delightful and delicious. We will be back in the future, for special occasions.

Fabulous fish restaurant at a price!

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Kinsale during our trip to Ireland. Fishy Fishy was recommended by our hotel, and it was terrific. It's a very attractive yet comfortable restaurant. I had the pan-seared scallops--and loved them.

Disappointing experience: long wait for the food, sloppy service, very noisy, and the quality of the dishes did not live up to the prices: oysters served without a bed of ice and therefore not very fresh, very small lobster served lukewarm with a vulgar mashed potato...
