Fishy Fishy in Kinsale

Myself and the wife dined today. Lovely food but even nicer service and venue. A refined but relaxed atmosphere striking the perfect note. The lobster bisque I had was amazing. Highly recommended for couples, groups of friends and families with children who are happy to sit and eat.

The restaurant came highly recommended from the father in law. We loved the vibe and the decor and the service was great. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish and patatas bravas. The Mrs got hard potatoes with the fish and chips so wouldn’t eat them. But she enjoyed the fish. Im sure that the chips are soft and fluffy usually.

Both the food and the service deserve the maximum number of stars. I recommend :)

We had the ´taste of the Sea ´ platter and the grilled oysters to start with. Both dishes were fairly disappointing. The sushi rice was not cooked on the maki roll, which you really don’t expect in a restaurant of this standing. The grilled oysters were over shadowed by the amount of sauce. I had the hake as a main and again I found the beurre blanc sauce just too heavy for what is suppose to be a fairly delicate dish. My partner had the leek and haddock main again in a very rich white sauce. I prefer my seafood a lot more natural. The Sauvignon Blanc was delicious though. The service was correct.

Excellent food and very good service! I hope I get the opportunity to come there again!

Food was OK !! we thought there was to many mussels !! it would of been nice to have some fish and calamari which we have found In other seafood platters for 2

Hake risotto was incredible. Husband's fish pie was also delicous. We loved it all.

A shop owner in Kinsale recommended Fishy Fishy to us & it was fabulous! We started with the arancini & then had the Hake special— both were outstanding. They also provided house-made stout bread (excellent) & even squeezed us in despite being totally full with reservations. Thank you Fishy Fishy! What a wonderful experience & meal.
